Chapter Five

Allen was with his mum, discussing the events of the day. Zainab and Khalid were the last set to leave, with Gold and Prince leaving minutes before them. “Zainab knows how to set the mood,” Allen’s mum said to him after the visitors had left. “Yes, mum. She has always been that way like that,” replied Allen. He felt a sharp pain rising from inside his head. “Not again, please.”

His mum looked concerned and walked over to where he sat. “Do you feel a Vision coming?” she asked him.

“Yes, mum. The pain it brings each time is getting harder to handle because I haven’t had my cleansing yet.” He forced himself up and was about to walk to his room when he saw a Vision; He saw a woman.

“Are you expecting a female visitor tomorrow?” Allen asked while panting. “Yes. I’m expecting my clothe vendor to stop by with some new materials,” His mother replied.

“Okay, Mum. Do me a favor and let me meet with her,” begged Allen. His mother nodded in agreement; She trusted him with all his decisions. “That’s no problem. I’ll let her stay till you return.” She replied firmly.

“Alright, mum. Can I bother you to make me some food now? I want food specially prepared by you,” he asked with a smile. The woman moved to hug her son and answered. “Sure, darling. Anything for you.

Allen then retreated to his room.

“Zainab! Zainab! I just saw Khalid and Sunny together inside his car talking with each other,” Ellen announced as she entered the lecture hall. Everyone in the class started murmuring. Prince had a smile on his face, seeing Zainab’s face clouded with anger. Allen, who had his headphones on, took it off after noticing Zainab’s expression. “What’s going on?” he inquired of Prince.

Prince laughed and replied. ” Zay is mad because Sunny and Khalid are together in his car.”

“He saw her on the road and then he picked her up to the school. Her car was faulty,” Allen said without thinking. Prince looked up at him with a suspecting look on his face. “ And just how did you know her car was faulty? Allen, are you a mind reader?” Allen quickly tried to come up with an excuse. “I’m just putting out there the reasons she would be in his car.”

“Allen, do you read minds?” Prince asked jokingly. Then came the sound of message notification from the students’ phones. As usual, it was the INF; they had posted the headline ‘Sunny and Khalid. Secret lovers?’

“TAKE. THAT. POST. DOWN. NOW!” Zainab fired angrily at Ellen while Gold tried to pacify her friend. “Zainab, calm down. It’s probably like Allen said,”

In that moment, Sunny walked into the hall with a smug look on her face, and walked to her seat where the Queens burst into giggles. Khalid entered immediately after, and placed a kiss on Zainab’s forehead, before saying. “I saw her at the roadside with her car faulty. It was a quiet road. I couldn’t just leave her there. That’s all.”

At this, Prince turned around and gave Allen a pointed look with his brows raised up

Allen smiled at him, but his smile quickly disappeared as he experienced a throbbing pain, a sign of a Vision. He kept his head low, so as not to draw any attention to himself. In the Vision, he saw the same unfamiliar woman he had seen a few days ago in another Vision. Except this time, her facial features were clearer to him. She was possibly the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Abruptly, he was brought back to reality by a lecturer walking into the lecture hall.

The lecturer walked up to the front of the class and announced. “We have a new transfer student among us. Coming all the way from England, and so I hope you all do your best to make her feel welcome,” the lecturer warned the class. “You can come in now.”

Then a young lady walked into the lecture room with her head bent low. Allen couldn’t help but feel a sense of déjà vu. Then, she raised her head, and he stared in shock as he realized she was the girl from his Visions.
