Allen couldn’t get his mind off of what Elder had told him about Laura’s uncle and Maverick’s issue. He couldn’t stop pacing in his room, so he grabbed his phone, which was on his bedside table, and dialed a number. The call was quickly answered. Allen stated to the receiver, “You can go get them now, please.”
[FLASHBACK]
“Seriously, Laura won’t be able to handle this. Don’t we have anything else we can do? She can’t lose her uncle! We can stop Maverick!” Allen told Elder.
“Really? Do you believe Maverick can be stopped? Allen, even if you put Laura’s uncle by your side, Maverick will still get to him. It’s written, and there’s nothing we can do about it.” Elder explained.
“Suppose…What if I catch Maverick before he kills him?“ Allen tried to persuade Elder.
