It was well after midnight. Kevin had finally gotten the last of his children in bed and asleep. He was nearly staggering with exhaustion when he went to his bedroom, undressed down to his underwear, and climbed into bed with his mate, Anna. She rolled over, wrapped her arms around him, and buried her face in his neck.
"Thank you for putting Katherine to bed. She refused to even lie down for me," Anna said.
"You never have to thank me for taking care of our children. She's a daddy's girl and has been since the day she was born," Kevin smiled at her.
"Most of our children favor you, and I'm happy they do. I love seeing you take care of them. That is part of why we ended up with lucky number thirteen," Anna said as she kissed him.
"Mmmm, are you in the mood to try for number fourteen?"
