Olivia and Jonah stood, taking in what they saw and trying to grasp what Everly had said. With Kevin lying on the ground laughing, things could not be serious. Yet something had happened to trigger Everly’s fairy magic to emerge.
“What happened?” Olivia asked, still stunned.
“Blue set Lia’s hair on fire, and Everly put it out,” Kevin laughed from the ground.
“That explains almost nothing,” Olivia said, shaking her head. “Are you alright, Lia?”
“Yeah,” Lia sarcastically said as she wiped muddy water from her face and flicked it off her hands. “I’m just dandy. Can’t you tell?”
