I stopped by the cafe to get myself a coffee when I heard some maids talk.
"Sam hasn't resumed work yet" she said to the one standing beside her.
"Yes. I think she's running more lapses than usual today. Did she offend the Alpha more?" She asked.
" How am I to know but it still baffled me what she could have done to warrant the Alpha's anger. She's such a calm girl" the maid said with pity.
" Even the calm sometimes fall into a trap. Who knows what happened".
" But I do pity her. She hates to run and now she's getting it as a punishment" she said.
