The chase.

Layla POV

My chest hurts, a sharp ache, I'm bleeding, and I could barely move my limbs. Every breath I take burns my chest. It's too dark now for me to see anything.

Where am I? Are they still chasing me?

The last thing I remember was running, trying to move as fast as I could to escape them, and then one of them cut me off, I evaded him, and kept on running. and I slipped, and the ground suddenly disappeared beneath me. And now, here I am, sprawled on the forest floor, my head throbbing, my vision blurred.

I tried to sit up, but I didn't have any energy left in me. My left leg was pinned under a fallen branch, every muscle in my body ached, and all my scars burnt like hell. Panic started to creep in. Would I be able to fight them off once they reached me? Whatever happened now, I'm not going back to that place, even if that means ending my life right here.

It's quiet. Maybe they gave up on the search.

Seconds stretched into minutes. The quiet of the woods felt suffocating. The cold seeped deeper into my bones. I could feel myself slipping away, the world around me blurring again.

Then I heard it— twigs snapping under their steps. Their here. They caught me.

One of them appeared through the trees, shadowed by the dim light filtering through the canopy, I couldn't recognize him as one of the warriors chasing me.I didn’t know if I should be relieved or terrified.

But he wasn’t stopping. He kept coming toward me. Should I fight? Should I find something to stab myself and end it all before I'm caught?

This is too much I can barely breathe .... and now I can barely see.

Is he shifting? How does he plan on attacking me in his human form?

I might be weak, but I'm still a witch. I don't know. Maybe he knows that I don't have much of a fight left in me.

And now he's carrying me. You asshole. You're gonna take me back. aren't you?

I hope you die. All lycans are monsters. You're all the same.

It's getting blurry again. Guess I'll wake up back in my cell.
