The trench was the deepest part of the ocean. People have attempted to dive down there but the pressure was too much for ordinary humans to handle which was why it was the perfect place for rogue merpeople to stay. Skylar led the dive to the bottom of the trench in search of the rare coral that only grew in the trench. Upon grabbing it, she had not expected someone to immediately grab the coral from her grasp. It took her a while to focus her vision back to reality. She noticed a fin which was similar to theirs in the shadows.
