46 Luther shifted in the driver’s seat and wondered if the department vehicle’s suspension needed work. It was relatively new, but took a beating on the rural roads. More likely, he was the one that was worn out. He’d spent most of the day looking for Les, checking everywhere his brother might have gone: Les’s trailer, his friends, all the local bars and hangouts. Nothing.
