Chapter 10: Confronting the DarknessDr. Nirmala called Solman to the lab. Sitting down, she said, "Solman, we have a big problem.""What is it?""The government has found out about Project Resurrection. They want to shut it down. And they want to take Lubni to a research facility.""What? Why?""They believe it is against nature. And Lubni is the only successful sample. They want to conduct further research on her."Solman was furious. "I won't let that happen.""But our options are limited. I want to make you a proposal.""What proposal?""We can flee with Lubni. To a secret location where she can spend the rest of her time with her family.""But the library? The children?""The library will cease to exist. And you'll have to take the children with you."Solman pondered. On one side, an uncertain future; on the other, the chance to be with Lubni."Let me talk to Lubni."Chapter 11: The Ultimate DecisionReturning home, Solman told Lubni everything. Lubni listened quietly."What do you think?" Solman asked."I think, no matter where I am, I don't have much time left. Why should you and the children risk everything for me?""Because you are part of our family."Lubni got up and went to the window. "Solman, I feel myself fading every day. Today, I forgot Sabiha's name for three minutes.""But you remembered.""This time I did. Tomorrow, perhaps I won't."Just then, Rahat and Sabiha entered the room."Baba, Maa, what are you talking about?" Rahat asked.Lubni sat down with them. "Children, you know Maa is very sick, right?""Yes, Maa. But you're better now." Sabiha said."I might not always be well. But you must remember, Maa loves you very much."Rahat understood something was about to happen. "Maa, are you going away again?"Lubni hugged him tight. "If I must. But my love will remain with you."Chapter 12: Government InterventionThe next morning, government vehicles appeared outside their house. Several officers knocked on the door."We are from the National Security Department. Lubni Sulican must come with us."Solman stood in front of the door. "Why? What is the charge?""She is the product of an illegal scientific experiment. For the security of the state, she must be under our supervision."Lubni stepped forward from behind. "I am not an object. I am a human being.""Madam, you are an artificial creation. You have no legal rights.""I am not artificial! All my memories, emotions, and love are real." Lubni shouted.Rahat and Sabiha hid behind their mother, frightened."We are sorry, but we have orders. You must come with us."Just then, Dr. Nirmala arrived. "Officers, Lubni Sulican has full human rights. You cannot take her without a court order.""Dr. Sen, you are also under arrest. You are charged with conducting illegal experiments."Chapter 13: The Escape RouteSuddenly, several security personnel from the library appeared. They stood against the government forces, armed with advanced weaponry."This is our property. No one can enter or do anything here without our permission," a security chief declared. In the ensuing chaos, Dr. Nirmala whispered to Solman, "Escape through the back door. My car is waiting."Solman quickly took Lubni and the children out the back. They got into Dr. Nirmala's car and sped out of the city."Where are we going?" Solman asked."To a secret location. We have another lab there. We can continue Lubni's treatment."But Lubni spoke up, "Doctor, I don't want any more treatment."Everyone looked at her in surprise."I understand that my body and mind are slowly breaking down. I want to spend the rest of my time living normally."Chapter 14: The Last WishA small cottage on a mountaintop. Surrounded by greenery and nature. They stayed there.Lubni's condition worsened day by day. She began to forget many things. Sometimes she didn't recognize Solman, sometimes the children. One evening, Lubni called Solman over."Solman, I have something to say.""Tell me.""I feel my time is up. I want you to go back to a normal life with the children.""I can't leave you.""You are not leaving me. I am departing. And this time, it is final."Tears filled Solman's eyes."You will not try to resurrect me again. Promise me.""But...""Promise me!" Lubni insisted."I promise."Lubni called Rahat and Sabiha."Maa will love you forever. Take care of your Baba. Take care of each other.""Maa, where are you going?" Sabiha sobbed."I will be in your hearts. Whenever you remember me, I will be there."Chapter 15: The FarewellThat night, Lubni closed her eyes peacefully. A gentle smile on her face.Solman sat by her side all night. Toward dawn, Lubni's breathing stopped.Dr. Nirmala came and examined her. "She is gone."Solman, Rahat, and Sabiha broke down in tears. But these tears were different. They held peace and acceptance. They buried Lubni on the mountaintop, where both the sunrise and sunset were visible.Chapter 16: A New DawnOne year later. Solman had returned to his old work. A new library had been established. Rahat and Sabiha studied there.Project Resurrection was shut down. Dr. Nirmala was working on a new project—improving the quality of life for the living. One morning, Sabiha came to her father."Baba, I remember Maa. But I don't cry anymore.""Why?""Because I feel like she is with us. Her love is within us."Solman embraced his daughter.Rahat looked up from his book and said, "Baba, I'll be a scientist when I grow up. Not to bring the dead back to life. But to make the living happier."Solman smiled. It was the first time in two years he had smiled from the heart.Chapter 17: UnderstandingThat evening, Solman sat alone on the balcony. He suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned, but no one was there.Yet, he felt he heard Lubni's voice, "I am happy with your decision."Solman smiled softly. "Have you truly gone?""No. I'm just here in a different way. In your memory, in the children's laughter, in your love.""I miss you.""Me too. But death is not the end, Solman. Love never dies."Solman looked up at the sky. The first star was visible."Do you think we did the right thing?""Yes. You can cheat nature, but not life. Life is not just about breathing. Life is about love, memory, and experience."Chapter 18: ConclusionFive years later. The year 2405.Rahat was now twelve. He had topped his class in science. Sabiha was ten. She loved to write.Solman was no longer alone. He worked with a charitable organization, providing education for orphaned children. One day, Sabiha read a story to her father."There was a king. He loved his dead queen very much. One day, a magician offered to bring the queen back to life. The king agreed. The queen returned. But she was not the same. The warmth, the vivacity, was gone.""What happened next?" Solman asked."The king understood that love is not about holding on. Love is about letting go. He bid the queen farewell. And he started a new life, carrying her memory in his heart."Solman hugged his daughter. "A very beautiful story."Rahat said, "Baba, our story is like that too.""Yes. But the end of our story is even more beautiful. Because we learned that death is not the end, but a new beginning."That night, Solman wrote in his diary:"Dear Lubni,Today I finally understood why you chose to leave us. You wanted us to live life, rather than clinging to it. The children are happy now. I, too, am at peace. Your love guides us every day.In the future, science may conquer death. But I know true victory will only come when we learn to love life fully—including its limitations. You taught us that what is greater than 'The Return' is—Moving Forward."A Few WordsWith the advance of science, humanity may one day conquer death. But the question remains—will that be a true victory?Solman Sulican’s story tells us that the beauty of life lies within its finitude. Love is immortal, but life is finite. And this very limitation makes life precious. In the world of 2399, technology gave humans immense power. But perhaps the greatest wisdom is to walk in harmony with nature.Lubni Sulican's return and farewell teach us that true love never dies. It lives on in memory, in ideals, and in inspiration. And that, perhaps, is the true resurrection. (The End)
