I was frightened to my core as I looked down from the bushes. A deafening sound erupted from out of nowhere amongst so many gunshots. My heart thumped loudly against my chest, my breath getting heavier. There was another explosion in one of the cars. I had no idea what was happening down there but all I knew was, I needed to get to Sam. I knew he wasn't dead. And what if Sam's car catches fire? I would never be able to forgive myself. He didn't deserve this. He never deserved to die like this. He tried saving me till his last breath and I was still not sure if he was alive, but I had hope. A hope that overshadowed the sane part of my brain. I just wanted to go down and drag him out of there. I observed my surroundings and could see just a little now that everyone had taken shield behind
