“Wow! I didn’t know you were this adamant at not having me with you.” Diana stuttered with her words and Adrian had the immediate realization that his tone was too harsh. “I mean…” “No, it’s fine! just drop me.” Diana cut him off abruptly and Adrian’s heart dropped low in his stomach, as a feeling of gruesome anxiety started crippling him on the inside. Fuck! I may have screwed things up! I need to get myself together. He sighed, clearing his throat and turned to glance a look at Diana. He noticed that she was looking outside the window, her face completely turned towards the other side, not even allowing Adrian to have a glimpse of her. She had once again developed the same edge of being cold and indifferent and it hit Adrian deep, that he was wrong for hurting her in such a manner.
