“Token number forty six, please proceed to counter eight.” The computerized voice echoed loudly inside the crowded city room waiting area, where people from different walks of life, sat on the clamped up steel chairs, waiting for their number to arrive. Sitting in the last row, was Diana herself, who looked down at the small paper in her hand that had ‘Fifty’, written in an analogue scripture over it, signifying that she had four more numbers to go, till her turn at a counter would arrive. She sighed, throwing her head back in frustration, as visits at the city hall were always agitating, full of long waits and queues.
