Diana let out a shriek once she saw the sharp blade of the knife embedded deep within Adrian’s shoulder. Stepping forward she pushed the man away, shoving him down on the ground and then turned to look at Adrian’s face, that was scrunched up with pain. Scared that he had once again missed his target and that the woman might beat him to a pulp, the man got up on his feet and immediately sprinted away, running in to the dark of the night. Adrian’s left shoulder was bent backwards compared to the rest of his body.
