When it started getting darker, the bonfire was lit in the middle of a big fire pit. Everyone began dragging over chairs. Morgan had already sat his up next to my group of friends and was leaning over talking to Jane. I was wishing I could read lips while I watched them. I slipped into my warmer clothes. I grabbed a beer and my blanket and made my way over. I had bundled myself up since the weather was already dropping a lot. I was planning on just setting my stuff down and going back for my chair but Morgan pulled me onto his lap. Wrapping his arms around me.
"I forgot a jacket and your bundled up so your gonna keep me warm," he said whispering in my ear and leaning his chin on my shoulder.
"I can do that," I settled into his lap and opened my beer. While he went back to talking to Jane and her date for the night. I starting tuning everything out as I drank my beer and stared into the fire. After a bit I starting getting an uneasy feeling and starting to look around slowly when a group of three guys walked up and I immediately spotted my ex standing in the middle. I tried to keep myself hidden on Morgans lap and began shaking a little. Morgans hand started rubbing circles on me as if to try and warm me up.
"Are you getting colder?" he asked and I shook my head then very quietly told him who had just showed up. He wrapped his arms tighter around me and leaned to Jane and told her to go to Tommy. "I got you just stay right here, I'm not going to let him get to you." Jane rushed over to where Tommy was and said something to him and you could see the anger light up in his eyes. He walked over to where John had come up to our party with his friends. I could barely hear what was being said but John spit on the floor and yelled something about b***h was going to get what she deserved and walked off. At that point in time I knew I needed more alcohol so I used the signal Jane and I always used to here and she brought me a bottle of Tequila from her truck on her way back to the fire. As soon as it was placed in my hand I downed at least 5 shots worth. Morgan just continued to hold me while I drank.
By the end of the night, I was slightly gone, and depended on Morgan by my side. He sat me in the passenger seat of my truck and loaded everything with the help of Janes date, Michael. When he got in and started the truck he looked at me and I just stared at him then leaned against the door. "What's your address Ari?" he asked and I told him. 45 minutes later he pulled up in front of my house and I hit the garage button telling him to pull in. He did and got out. I slowly got myself out of the truck and opened the house while pushing the garage panel on the wall. As I walked through the house I stared stripping and leaving clothes all the way to the downstairs bathroom and did my business. I walked back out to find Morgan standing in the kitchen.
"Thank you for bringing me home and I am sorry I got drunk after my ex showed up, but honestly he scares me," I grabbed a blanket off the back of the chair and wrapped it around myself while I walked up to him.
"Don't worry about it, I probably would've done the same," he smiled.
"I'm going to head up and shower make your self at home if you want to stay or I'm sure Tommy wouldn't mind coming to get you." I said.
"I think I'll stay I don't feel right leaving you alone." he replied and put the truck keys on the counter, his phone and wallet.
"That's really nice of you thank you.." I smiled and headed up the stair. I didn't feel the need to close any doors as I got undressed and into the shower. Standing under the warm water I replayed the night over and over again in my head, I had started humming the songs that Morgan and I danced too. My thoughts were interrupted when a soft knock on the wall broke me out of them, I pulled back the curtains and saw Morgan standing there. I bit my lip and said something I normally wouldn't have said or asked. "Don't just stand there, get in if you want." I closed the curtain back up and stood under the water, after a few seconds I heard his pants and boots hit the floor then within a minute he pulled the curtain back enough to get in. His body brushed up against mine and I looked up at him. My shower was a little too small to have two people in it but we made it work taking turns under the water and washing up. When I was done I got out and wrapped up in a fluffy towel. I was more sober now after my shower then I had been before. I walked out of the bathroom and into my room to get clothes and a few seconds later Morgan got out and came into my room with a towel around his waist. He crossed the room to me and with a quick movement he had his hands on my face and was kissing me. At first I hesitated but then wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss. We stood there kissing, well more like making out with how much our hands explored each other. He placed his hands on my hips and bent down a little trailing them down and gripping my thighs while lifting me up. My legs immediately went around his waist, and I held on tight.
