Chapter Eight: Alone

1252 Words
The next morning I woke up alone in bed, confused I wrapped the loose comforter around me and headed out of my room. I walked through my house looking for Morgan before going into the kitchen. My keys laid on the counter still but his phone and wallet were gone. I sat at the kitchen bar with my head in my hands and teared up a bit. Why did he leave with out saying anything? Alone I sat for an hour, in a blanket, wondering what happened. Finally getting the energy to get up I decided to just get on with my day, I still had to go grocery shopping before the weekend was over. I got dressed in sweats and an old t-shirt, honestly not giving a care in the world what I looked like. Leaving my phone on the bedside table I grabbed my wallet and walked out of my room. Getting into the garage I removed everything from the bed of the truck before climbing in to leave. My hair was a disaster I noticed in the rearview mirror so I plopped the hat I kept on the dash on my head. Backing out of the garage and onto the gravel I sped out of my property and onto the highway.      20 minutes later I pulled into the parking lot for the grocery store and parked. I grabbed a shopping cart from the cart return. I couldn't decided where to start my shopping so I played eenie meenie minie moe in my head and landed on alcohol. I browsed the beer section and picked up 2 thirty racks. Moving onto liquor I grabbed a bottle of whiskey and tequila. I slowly made my way around the store, going up and down every aisle so I didn't miss anything on my shopping list I had in my head. Focusing on the groceries was taking my mind off of last night and I planned on keeping it that way. Standing in the line at check out watching out the windows I thought I saw Morgan drive by in his sheriffs cruiser but I could just be imagining things so I shook myself back to the present and stepped up to the belt to place all of my things on it. I chit chatted idly with the cashier as she scanned my items. After paying I pushed my cart outside keeping my head low on the way to my truck. I loaded everything in pretty quickly and started my way back home. Unloading the truck as soon as I got there and putting the groceries away. Looking around I tried figuring out something to do and couldn't come up with anything. Glancing at the clock it read out 3pm, well it wasn't to early to start drinking so I ran upstairs to grab my phone dialing Janes number from memory. When she answered I had a short conversation with her and told her to come over to drink, then hung up. I went back downstairs and posted myself at the kitchen bar with a tall glass of Jack and Coke.      By the time Jane showed up I was three drinks in and still in the kitchen.      "Hey," Jane said as she came in and sat her belongings down. My only response was a nod. "What's wrong babe?" She wrapped her arm over my shoulder.     "I slept with Morgan last night.." I started my sentence but couldn't finish because Jane interrupted me.     "Hell ya girl, get it!"     "No, no, He left before I even woke up and I haven't heard anything from him since.." I said looking up at her, with tears rimming my eyes.      "What do you mean you haven't heard from him since? He didn't say anything when he left?" She questioned anger creeping up in her facial expressions. I shook my head no. She hugged me and let me cry when I couldn't hold the tears in anymore. "Okay babe, that's enough crying, we are gonna drink, take some hot pics, post them on i********: and say F*** him because you deserve better." I nodded and wiped my cheeks off. This was the exact reason I called her, I knew she would be able to help me get over him. We grabbed all of the alcohol we could and ran upstairs. Tossing it all on the bed, I arranged it a bit then pulled my phone out and took a picture of it. Posting it to my personal i********: and f*******: with the caption: 'Girls Night In'. Jane was already pulling out all of my make up as I poured another Jack and Coke for myself. Jane set up chair and pulled me too it and went to work on my make up. After she finished that up and she did my hair. It fell in long wavy curls down my back and I looked hot when I looked in the mirror. I went into my closet while Jane did her own make up and picked out a pair of jeans with rhinestones on the butt pockets. Changing into them, with a little bit of struggle getting them up and over my butt, but at least it would look good. I grabbed a wine red and brown flannel then searched for my white rhinestoned Victoria Secret bra. Getting dressed I came out and stood next to Jane as she was just finishing up. When she was done she got dressed also. My cup of Jack and coke was getting low so I made another one, Jane took a picture of me pouring the whiskey in. I looked up and stuck my tongue out. Over the next 2 hours we took a lot of pictures. Some were pretty risque with her and I practically making out or touching each others boobs. When the sun was getting low outside we stood on the back deck, with beers in our hands. I took my flannel off awhile ago so when I got outside I removed my bra and situated my hair so it covered my boobs and stood facing the sun. Jane took pictures of me as the sun was setting more so a lot of them were silhouettes, the last one she took was of me facing her my hair slightly blowing in the breeze and my boobs almost out on full display as I tipped back my beer. We sat outside for another 30 minutes just enjoying the night air and watching the stars show up in the sky.     Picking photos out of all the ones we took was hard to narrow down so we decided to post 10 each on our social media accounts. For mine I chose, the one of me pouring whiskey into my cup, a couple of me standing in the mirror one with my flannel barely buttoned and one with it hanging off my shoulders as I looked over my shoulder back at the camera, a couple of Jane and I, which one was of us kissing, then last but not least I chose two from outside when I was topless. I picked a good filter then posted them. Jane did the same. When we were done we put our phones away for the night and went back to drinking. By the end of the night when we crashed into my bed drunk, I honestly couldn't even remember why we did it to begin with.
