Last night after heading in to the house to shower after horse back riding, Morgan realized that he had to go. I was sad when he left and couldn't shower with me but he had work and I wasn't going to stop him from leaving no matter how bad I wanted to. I had yet to hear from him since his midnight text letting me know he missed me already. I wasn't worried though I knew he would be sleeping for a good part of the day after working all night. So I figured out what I could do for the day, after some thought, I realized I hadn't printed out all of the new menus yet for fall. Getting to work I sat my printer up and began printing. While the new ones print I removed the papers from the plastic menu holders and stacked them neatly so I could reuse them. When the new ones finished printing I started filling the menu holders back up. This task took me all the way until 2 pm and by then I had a couple new texts messages on my phone and a missed call from Morgan so I called him back.
"Ah baby there you are I've been trying to get a hold of you for about an hour," Morgan said as soon as he answered my call.
"I'm sorry I lost track of time making the new menus for the bakery," I said as I placed the last of the menus I just finished in a box to take to the bakery.
"No problem what are you planning on doing now?" I could hear his bed creek in the background, it sounded like he was just finally getting out of it.
"Well I planned on going into the bakery to decorate with the fall decor and take the new menus in because I wasn't sure when you'd be up after working all night." I smiled into the phone. Listening to his voice that was still full of sleep.
"Want some help?" He asked.
"Sure I was just about to head there now so if you want to meet me in about 30 minutes I'd appreciate the help," I grabbed the box of menus from the table and headed out to the garage where I already had it packed with the boxes of decorations.
"Sounds good baby, I'll see you soon." We said our goodbyes and hung up.
30 minutes later I pulled into the back of the shop and saw Morgan was already there standing outside of his truck. He waved and walked up to my door when I parked opening it for me. I leaned in and gave him a quick kiss then leaned back into the truck to grab my purse and keys to open the bakery. Morgan opened the back door of the trucks cab and grabbed a box. Unlocking the door I pushed it open so he could go in first. Setting everything down he headed back out to get the rest of the boxes. While he did that I walked to the front of the shop and pulled down the blinds so no one saw the new decorations being put up until tomorrow morning when I opened. Morgan brought the boxes up front and I began to dig through them. Giving him a list of things he could do he got to work. I had just started pulling out the pink, purple and green fairy lights when Morgan came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. Turning to look at him he bent his head down and gave me a toe curling kiss.
"What was that for handsome?" I asked as he stepped away going back to his tasks.
"I just wanted a really good kiss," he winked and picked up the big wreaths to hang on the walls. Smiling I watched him remove the summer inspired pictures that hung and replace them with the wreaths, he even made sure each one was completely straight. I went back to stringing leaf shaped lights in the display cases. Next I moved onto putting Mason jar center pieces filled with flowers on the center of every table. Morgan went onto his next task of hanging strings of leaves in the windows the yellows, oranges, reds and browns looked amazing in the subtle lighting of the shop. My next task was putting the new menus in the holders on the tables and switching the colors of the paper napkins in the holders around the room.
"It is looking really good in here Ari," Morgan said coming to my side and looking around.
"I agree," I smiled and wrapped an arm around his waist as we looked over our work. "Thank you for helping me out," I stood on my toes to kiss his cheek.
"Not a problem. I wanted to spend time with you," he leaned his chin on my head and kissed the top of it. "Only bad news is I got to get going now to get to work on time tonight." I pouted and stuck my lip out. He kissed my nose and said he was sorry.
"Okay, well stop by in the morning when your shift is over for a quick breakfast before sleep?" I asked holding his waist.
"Sounds good. Don't forget to lock up and text me when you get home," he kissed me softly "Until tomorrow morning baby, I'll see you." He waved and blew a kiss as be headed back through the kitchen leaving. I finished the last few things up and made sure the front was still locked when I headed to the kitchen to leave.
