On a chilly Tuesday morning as it was threatening to rain, the Johnson's family finally heard a cry if a baby after many years of waiting, they looked at her as tears rolled down their cheeks because she has become their ray of sunshine.

Mrs Johnson's hands trembled as she reached for the swaddled bundle, Mr Johnson couldn't speak; he just held her shoulder, his thumb rubbing slow circles like he was afraid she'd disappear if he let go.

They named their little baby girl "Jessica " the name felt new and old at the same time, like it had been waiting for her all these years. outside, the sky finally let go and rain started tapping against the roof in a rhythm that sounded almost like applause.

Mr and Mrs Johnson adored Jessica with all their heart, they showered her with everything she ever wanted, they gave her everything to make up for all the years they've missed, they never said no to her; not even once.

Jessica was a princess in their little castle, everything was always in place and set before her, Jessica grew up to be a girl of great beauty, she was admired everywhere, some say she looked like her mother while some say contrary but I'd say she's a carbon copy of her mother with little resemblance to her father but as they say "beauty is just skin deep" Jessica was an insolent spoilt brat who has always had things gone her way and everything done to please her, her unruly behavior caused a lot of trouble for her teachers at school.
