Chapter Twenty-Six

939 Words

Killian was helping lift a large bag of Henry’s cooking supplies through the door. He only hoped there was enough time. A loud, low hum spread through the camp like a bell was being rung and he was standing inside of it. Everyone looked around with concern. “Just keep moving,” he yelled. Killian spun around to grab another bag and he jumped back when he saw the cause of the noise. A group of Guardians was standing on the edge of the camp banging on an invisible wall with their praecants. They all glowed slightly in an array of colors. They were out of time. Killian was relieved Lydia had put up that barrier. Sofia emerged through the port-door. “Send more, were good on this side,” she yelled. Killian was trying but everyone was scrambling trying to find family, friends, and belongings.
