"It's over, I have the high ground", Crimson Knight says to Ralgod, "You lost, Ralgod. It's high time we ended this dance."
Ralgod sighs and says," Oh my Dear Knight, we have been doing this for 50 whole years, why not make it 69."
He chuckles.
Crimson Knight smirks and replies, "We are getting old, there are weaker heroes than me with unique abilities. Doomhammer, Spiritsworn, the f*****g Hurricane try fighting them. If you escape now, of course."
Crimson Knight wiggles his finger as reddish particles surround him. He knew it was about time he took down his long-term enemy and handed him to The Scarlet Base. He charges up the particles as he wiggles his fingers. Furthermore, he leans back and launches a sharp beam from his fingers, targeting Ralgod's chest. Ralgod falls to the ground.
"It's not over yet, Crimson!"
Ralgod expertly retrieves a string from his supple leather armor. The opening made in the armor results in a small blast, making a small pothole on the ground.
"Chinese Bombs aren't very effective, Ralgod"
"Oh, you have no idea what is about to begin," Ralgod replies with a smile as he lays back.
Upon the arrival of the troops from The Scarlet Base, Ralgod is swiftly apprehended and securely handcuffed. Ralgod says nothing more, his eyes said that something was coming and it was horrific.
Crimson Knight returns to his base as his job is done for the day. He's been serving as a hero for about 55 years. The world is protected by superheroes. In this world, it's not shocking if you see a superhero while walking home.
The Galagas was the name of the team, which included The Crimson Knight,
Black Illusion, Quickshot, and Labyrinth. After a failed rescue and the destruction of the city of Coset in 2004, the team broke off and headed on different paths.
Crimson Knight was just a man, an archeologist—Sam Harper. Sam got his powers from a tomb in Greece.
Sam turns his recorder on, "Today is 17 May 2023", he chuckles and continues, "It's my birthday, and also 20 years since my band broke up. I'm 70 years old. I should be retired, but no, I cannot risk the security of this universe on the new kids. I will fight till my last breath, retirement doesn't suit me". He turns his recorder off.
The Galagas' core member and the tech guy- Quickshot, was a normal human who had a good hand at guns and tech. Marc Ward aka Quickshot, in today's time, was a 44-year-old man living alone with sufficient family wealth.
"Sorry, I am late! I brought you flowers", Marc smiles and looks down at a headstone with the name, Emily Ward- A loving wife, engraved on it.
"You always asked if we needed more time. I thought we had all the time in the world. You died in my arms. I thought we had all the time, I couldn't f*****g save you! I couldn't save my world." He falls on his knees sobbing and keeping his head on her grave. "I made you a promise to keep everyone safe in your last words", he sniffs, "I will keep that promise. Retirement doesn't suit me."
A loud yawn was heard behind Marc's back. Marc turns back and finds his archenemy- Steelscar just standing behind him. "Why are you here?", Marc asks as he stands facing Steelscar with his pistol. "Just wanted to f**k her dead body, I killed her, my victims are my collection", Steelscar laughs. Marc yells, "Asshole!" and shoots Steelscar with all the bullets in the magazine. Steelscar's armor is impenetrable. He smiles and takes his turn as he takes his sword out. The sword transforms into a machine gun. He points it at Marc and shoots. Looking at Steelscar aiming at him, Marc runs and finds a cover away from the headstones.
Steelscar is confidently whistling while skillfully navigating through the thick smoke, determined to locate Marc. Marc looks down at his wristwatch and clicks a button on it. The metallic strap expands and the dials turn, transforming the whole thing into a gauntlet. He gets out of his disguise and shoots a laser beam out of his gauntlet at Steelscar's chest, burning his armor and turning it hot red. Steelscar screams in pain as his chest burns with hot melted iron. " YOU MOTHERFUCKER," he exclaims in utter burning as he grinds his body against the wet grass.
He gets up and rides away on his bike. Marc sighs and looks at him as he escapes.
The Galagas had a witch amongst them, a good one, of course. Maria Stern, aka Labyrinth. Maria was more than 200 years old but, using her witchcraft, she managed to look like a normal woman in her thirties.
In her free time in early 2000, she joined the Galagas. Now that it's all shattered, she spends her time working as a reporter for Draipool Media.
Draipool Media's editor, Mr Hank, has assigned Maria to investigate the location where Crimson Knight and Ralgod fought.
Later in the evening, she gets there. Expecting the unexpected, she had her spells ready to go, but all she found was a pothole. As she looks down at the dirty pothole, filled with rainwater and illuminated by small red particles, she can't help but think to herself, "These must be Crimson's waste particles."
She starts investigating further. Eventually, she finds white hair. It belonged to her old friend, Crimson Knight. She knew it could be used to track her old friend, so she kept it to herself.
"Old days were far better", she sighs and leaves the scene. She looks up and sees a building under attack. She knew she had to save them. She leans back as her costume spreads across her body and work clothes, and her eyes start glowing soon after that.
"Retirement doesn't suit me," she says to herself before flying herself to the building to save lives and beat up some goons.
Black Illusion, aka Tyler Grand, is a 100-year-old man in the body of a 35-year-old man. He never gets along with the ways of the modern era.
"15 bucks for the toothbrush, sir", the receptionist says to Tyler.
"Ugh, I don't have change", Tyler looks for a change in his wallet but knocks some things off the counter due to his big shoulder muscles.
"What's with these men and their precious gym? Gym is so fat phobic and makes lazy people feel bad for themselves", a voice says from his behind.
"I know right!" another voice responds.
Tyler turns and sees a gay couple behind him. "Oh s**t," he says to himself.
"Move," he says to them.
"Are you threatening us?" one of them says.
"No, I am not you, dumb f***s"
"Oh my god! He is verbally assaulting us!"
"What the f**k!". Tyler just shakes his head and gets out of the shop.
"So many wars, so many lost brothers," he says to himself, "All for the kids to turn out like that! ".
Tyler walks into the gym, and he can hear some music playing. He changes his clothes and begins his usual workouts.
"Tyler Grand", a similar voice is heard by Tyler as he turns. "Eric!". Eric was Tyler's Civilian friend who had been helping him since 2001 to manage his civilian life.
"So how did the shipment transfer go?", Eric asked him.
"Went well... pretty peaceful" No it didn't.
Tyler's face described the bloodshed he had done last night, all because of his PTSD, a curse of the wars he had been to.
"You are lying man, was it the flashbacks again?"
Tyler nods and looks down and replies, "Yeah".
"Why don't you just leave this vigilante stuff and become a gym trainer? You do check all the specifications," Eric asks Tyler.
"No, I was created to be a Super soldier. That's my purpose. Retirement doesn't suit me."
Tyler walks out.
Midnight
Location - The road where the Crimson Knight and Ralgod fought
A mysterious portal opens on the wet road. Alastor, brother of Ralgod, walks out of it, followed by his few soldiers. His skin was dark red, with a disfigured face and yellow eyes shining in the fog. He sharply breathes in, "Earth" he laughs. "Brother, I'm here for you!"
"Stop right there," a mysterious sound says from the fog. A figure keeps walking closer as they can make out a robotic arm and a walking stick. It comes near, it is Jerrcai Heart, also known as Mr. Hart, behind the villain business.
"Mr. Alastor, what a surprise. It's been a while. Last time we met, we were busy doing some mischief with that World Trade Center".
Alastor laughs. "They thought it was Osama! He was just j*********f while we did that thing".
Mr. Hart's face goes serious, "Why are you here?"
"Oh, I received a message from my brother through the beacon of Lilith."
"Your brother is at The Scarlet Base. He can't get out of there now. Forget about any escape sequence, we ain't doing that".
"We have to do something, Hart."
"Oh, I will think about it."
"Thinking won't do!", Alastor lifts Mr. Hart from his collar.
Mr. Hart laughs. "Rookie Mistake as always". He transforms one of his robotic fingers into a needle and pushes it into Alastor's skin. Screeching sound waves come out of the needle, making Alastor scream in pain and physically nervous as he lets Mr. Hart on the ground.
"Sound waves and blood vessels, such an underrated relationship". He disables the needle.
"Think about my brother's escape. I don't want those clowns from Galagas to interrupt," Alastor says as a portal appears again.
"See you soon," Mr. Hart says as he disappears in the fog.
Alastor's soldiers march back into the portal, but one of them stops to examine the pothole where Ralgod was caught. The soldier notices a small orb filled with dark red, unstable particles. He reaches out to it, but before he touches it, he gets pulled into the portal, as everyone has already gone.
The enigmatic sphere remained resting in the tiny crater.
