CHAPTER V. “SURRENDER AND YOU SHALL LIVE”

It’s all dark-some, is this death? I thought when you die, it’s judgment already--heaven or hell. But what is this half-light that I can see? Though there’s really nothing on sight aside from this darkness. Maybe this is a dang death, as no one could ever told what is death unless they have come back to life. 

Now I’m beginning to hear voices, are they dead people too? But wait, I’m still breathing, yes I am! It made me conscious of breathing, it made me struggle to breath, I began to catch my breathe, air is struggling to come inside my lungs, maybe this time I’m really gonna die from being out of breath. 

An amount of air came into to my lungs and it made me feel my blood as warm as it was, and the murk started to fade in the middle of my sight, and light came! I can breath, I can feel my body, I’m alive! But maybe not, because all are still not clear to my sight, and all I can see is the sun still struggling to shine through the bulky clouds as it always has been, and I’m beginning to feel the heat....we are still in the bloody desert! 

Damn I knew what happened then! I lost my grasp in the middle of battle or maybe I was struck down. I can feel my arms, it’s just that I can’t move it, I knew it, I’m enchain with both my hands and I can feel that it’s being powered by grace, it looks like I can’t break free by only using mere physical force. 

I could feel some presence in my surroundings, a deadly prese---

No it’s warm. I’m beginning to wonder and question my heartstrings. It seems like my guts towards them, though it’s clear that it’s a warm grace that I feel from them, there is this integer that always meddle and is straining to induce me that they are evil, and I always follow that. I think it’s magic, that is corrupting my sensibilities. Oh goodness, I’m even beginning to lose rivet on my own self. 

I slowly open my eyes so that they won’t notice that I’m awake. But right after my eyes made a strength to take a peek . . .

”They are all awake” a voice said. 

I stop my eyes on moving further . . .

”It’s okay, you don’t need to pretend that you’re still asleep even when you’re not” 

A warm laugh came from that same voice who said those words. Well I guess it can’t be helped, but he said all of us are awake, so that means others are here too?! So I quickly opened my eyes and peer around. And my eyes couldn’t believe what I saw, and it welled with tears and can’t help it fall down in my face. 

I’m seeing, commander Fritz, and I can’t believe how overjoyed and relieved to see the brothers Willie and Wilson!!! I want to grab them, but I’m restricted with my both hands and feet. 

I found my self sitting on the ground with my butt flat. Hands locked with white chains powered by a powerful grace. Though it’s a chain to keep us from moving. It’s warm, I can feel that this thing have no intention to kill us. 

“You are different young man, others have this killing intent toward us, and it seem they think they knew us Paradesian legionnaires, and they glare us as if we are some kind of monsters and they already condemned us” he laugh again. “But I don’t feel that same intent and bearing from you.” 

That voice was coming from a man standing in front of us, I tilt my head up, a light form of a man. A smiling old man. A warmhearted presence with no intent to harm us. I’ve read about how Paradesian legionnaires looks like in their armor. But he looks different than the others who’s cloaks and armor really describes what I’ve read. White cloaks and the armor beneath, the fish eye crest crafted anywhere they want to put in. But this man, the one with a fish eye crafted above his left forehead, wearing a shining robe.

My thoughts were interrupted as he continues to talk...”My name is Marv Z, some people call me Z or Marv, but I prefer to be called Marv, I am Lord commander of the Paradesian Kingdom, and I am the Shield of the King”

Upon catching on those words, my eyes swelled like it’s about to drop my eyeballs! Lord Commander!? Shield of the King!? But why is he here!? As I look at the others, their eyes were widened too, but there’s more, the looks in their face, it’s dead. 

It’s like they have lost hope to live. But why? I knew it! They are dispirited that they are all gonna die as this dangerous man is front of them, the most powerful man second the the King in their Kingdom. But for me, as I can see his smile, feel his warm presence I don’t think he’s gonna kill us. 

So I ask him.....”Lord Commander Marv, why have you come with some of your legionnaires in your kingdom? I never heard a Lord Commander going on to mission for Grace Enwrap only....well, not in our kingdom.” 

He smiled keenly and laughed like a kid “Young man, you are indeed different, and you are right, same in our kingdom, I don’t go to missions like this type. But first of all, I would like to apologize for the little show earlier. You might be wondering why your two comrades are still alive?” he laughed again, “Sorry it was an illusion, created by these two legionnaire brothers at my back, Marlo and S’sob, their cherub swords are peculiar in illusion, and I couldn’t think of any strategy to attack you without a bloodshed. But with illusions, it’s harmless” a laughed again, “But I still do apologize, for that horrible illusion, seeing them lose a head, and being torn into half, I hope you forgive me in behalf of those two” 

My eyes are still widespread, but at ease, as I have confirmed that these people are harmless!

He changed his facial visage, he shifted into a serious one, with narrowed eyes....and he said....”Unfortunately . . we were too late to save your four comrades, we heard about from our Kingdom’s intelligence that ‘they’ would show up here, that’s why we rushed up here and I came along. So you have Four ladies legionnaires with you today huh”. 

What he said, bothers and confused me. I don’t understand.

Commander Fritz opens his mouth! “You bastards! What are you babbling about! Spouting nonsense! I know you would kill us later, stop wasting talking! Get over it!”  The old man replied “With your grace level that I can sense from you, you’re the commander of this group eh’? Sorry commander, but I don’t know what disinformation in your kingdom are being told about us, but we get this a lot. All of the kingdom that we encountered so far despised us, because they have been taught that we are the brutal amongst brutal of the kingdoms. I don’t know who started feeding that information, but unfortunately we are not here to kill you. But we can’t just let you go.” 

Commander gnash his teeth and said “Yeah, I know the drill punk! I also did to others that we capture on the battlefield as a commander of what you are doing now too, gathering information before killing them, I’m a commander you scum! You said you’re the shield of the King? Ha! Why don’t you let me go, and let’s clash with our swords, you and me to death! Let me put to the test your power!” 

The old man look down at the commander, in the eye and said, “I get this a lot . . .” 

Suddenly a legionnaire from his back unsheathe his sword and releases a massive grace, that I began to felt my body heavy, no, it’s the ground sucking us in! It’s a gravity!  And he said “Lord Commander, maybe we should silence this one as we got no choice! He is gathering an immense grace, and any time soon---” 

“Fracois, put back your sword”. He said calmly, without turning to the man behind him 

The gravity that was pulling us to death ceased. And he sheath his sword back. 

The old man said to lord Fritz “Commander, I would appreciate if you stay still and answer the questions that I’m about to ask” 

Commander replied, “You’re just a coward, not the same thing that I’ve always heard about you, I’m disappointed, you’re not that terrifying! Let me go, and we’ll see who is more dreadful!” 

The man looks a little bit annoyed, his eyes are now cold and he said “Surrender and you will live” He paused, closed his eyes, and the hot wind blew past among us. He opened his eyes again, he shifted his expression to being warm again and he continue to speak, “I’m sorry if I look worked up, I just can’t get used to this, our kingdom being surmised and detested without knowing us. Fine, I will let you go, let you fight me, but if I defeat you, you should swear that you would answer all my questions” 

Commander replied with a chuckle, “You won’t get any information, because all of you will be dead after all”

The old man had smile on his face.

“Jobinil, release his chains” the man motioned on one of the legionnaires. 

Lord Fritz got up as those white chains that was restraining his legs and arms disappeared. 

“Thank you for shrugging off such lame binding magic, but actually I could’ve break free a long time ago if I wanted to, but I would be endangering my comrades who under my care” said lord Fritz. 

They stood in a plain distance from us, as they are about to battle. A scale, so that we won’t be caught by anything from them. 

The old man commanded another legionnaire of his, “Katey protect them”

“Yes, Lord commander” A voice of a girl answered among the six legionnaires on a cloak.

She draw her sword, and she uttered “uncloak, Aegis sword”. 

An energy barrier wreathed us, I can feel a very powerful energy encircling. And she said “We are safe misters, and let’s enjoy the show from inside here” 

The voice it is like a kid, younger than me I assume. 

Ten meters away from each other, Lord Fritz, and the man, the shield of the King of Paradesos. Why is this need to happen? Why commander? Don’t you feel what I feel from them?! This is isn’t good! The outcome of this fight could be more than worse.  

The air was tight, the enemy is smiling before the commander, and the wind seems afraid to blew in the midst of them. 

Commander Fritz draw his sword and snow are now blossoming around him, he have already uncloak his grace. Just like his nick name back in our kingdom he is called Lord Snow! 

But the man, the shield of the king, is just standing there. What bothers me is that he’s not drawing his sword yet, and wait, he don’t carry any sword to begin with! What is going on!? Suddenly I remember our lord commander Alvin, he doesn’t always carry his sword with him. I guess he can summon it in an instant. What kind of cherub sword does he wield?!

“Your gonna regret this! I’m going to release all of my power, and it’s been a while I’ve done this, a hundred years ago it appears” Lord Fritz said. 

What? A hundred years ago?! How old is he anyway!? 

He continues to speak, “The moment I’ve been confined as a commander of a brigade, I have suppressed my power so that I won’t bring my comrades to jeopardy. I bet your Kingdom has supreme intelligence about the incidents all over the world. This might help you remember something good. The last time I fully unleashed my grace, I destroyed an entire kingdom, a strong Fire kingdom.” 

By hearing it, it indeed rings a bell to me! I’ve heard that tale during the class, and not only that, It’s writing in some of our omnibus in bibliotheca. But wait, records said, it was Paredeso Kingdom who destroyed them, I don’t understand!? 

Commander continues...”It’s idiosycratic being waltz up by our King, to change a tale on the omnibus just to keep my strength as a secret weapon. And I just agreed to that and I didn’t care at all.” 

The enemy replied, “So it was you huh? You are indeed strong then. It’ll be my honor to fight you.” 

“It will be my honor to slaughter you...I’ve been waiting for a moment like this to go wild!” the Commander laugh.

A laugh that I’ve never heard him laugh before, he stand weird and wild, his body bending forward his arms are bending out weirdly, he is carrying himself now as a wild barbarian, his stance, is not the disciplined commander I know, and his mouth is welled with saliva and it’s dripping! What the?! 

He pierce his sword to the ground! And earthquake could be feel. Sharp Ice like a tornado coming from the ground arising! A blocks of ice! A mountain of Ice! And it dump on the old man! The impact was great! Even in the distance as we watch, the chills of freeze could be feel. The desert was swallowed by frozen steam!

The Sand froze where they were standing! The place is misty! The enemy is nowhere to be seen! As the shroud cleared out, there was no trace of him to be found! What a monstrous power! Summoning a mountain blocks of ice in an instant! But wait! I could still feel the old man’s grace! His still on the mist! It’s covering him! And something so fast was cutting the ice, so fast that it cleared away. 

The man was still standing unharmed! 

“Huh? You got some tricks there! Unleash you grace and get your sword in your hand! Or else it will be too late for you!” Commander yelled with a gnarling face as his teeth are exposing like an animal soaked with his saliva! 

His sword is being coated with snow swirling around like a hurricane! He came forward and he s***h the man, above his head! But it was blocked! Just an inch from the man’s forehead and he would be dead. There’s nothing in there, and his hand are not moving! What is it that stopped the commanders sword!? 

The commander begin to act weirdly, dodging something I don’t see. He dash backward! Leaning his head back! As if something is attacking him! But I don’t see anything! And he continue to jink like crazy, there is nothing that I could see of what he is ducking from! But wait! Everytime he make a single move to dodge something, I could hear it! A swing of a sword! Not only that! I could see that commanders clothes and being torn a bit, as it it was hit by a the edge of the sword and he barely evade it! But my eyes cant see anything! But I could hear the wind crying from that unseen attack and the mist are being blown.

Commander cried, “Snow barrier!” 

I can see that he is clasping his sword in front of his face lining in his eyes horizontally. A snow poured from above of where he was standing. 

“Why don’t you attack now? Shield of the King!” Lord Fritz sneered . . . 

”It’s pointless, you are inside of a snow barrier”. The enemy said. 

“I still don’t get it, you got some weird cherub sword eh! But I have a sniff of it! I can dodge your attack! Why don’t you explain to me?” Commander said. 

He’s right, if he could explain, we would understand too.

“You want to ask, if where is my sword? And why have I not uncloak my grace yet?” The man said and he laugh, “Before we even jumped here, I’ve already uncloak my grace. Uhhmm, not just that, Let’s just say, my that my cherub sword has been uncloak since I got it, and I can’t cloak it.” The man explained tilting his head with a smile. 

Though I didn’t totally fathom at all. Even the Commander, his eye broadened with a grin even confused of what the enemy said. 

“You love to orate nonsense ever since you showed up! I’m going to cut those tongue of yours so that you won’t ever say a single word of disquite!” commander cried. He dash to the man again, yet his snow barrier still surrounds him as if he is carrying it! Amazing! I can see it, the barrier is being attack by something unseen! 

A large amount of ice is crystallizing from the right side of the barrier. An ice giant axe! 

“How about this Shield of the King!! Giant Ice Axe!” Commander growled wildly as he attack the man with it! 

It hammered from above the enemy! The ground shakes again of the impact! The man jump outside the misty ram on the left side. He escaped before the collide! But the giant axe went after him as it was being levered by commander! It keep attacking the man, but barely reaching him, as he keep on dashing back in zigzag movement. 

commander took a rushing away towards the enemy, as he get closer. He motioned the axe to strike him in haste. 

The enemy halted and he face the axe coming, and he motioned his right hand. Right before the axe make a force to smash him. It was some kind of pierced by something, so fast in all sides, and it shattered! Ice blocks falls to the ground melting on the sand! 

The man point his palm to the commander, and something so fast hit his barrier all over. But his barrier is unbreakable. 

Lord Snow! It’s not just a name indeed, he can block and attack at the same time! What an amazing power! 

“I still don’t get your power, but it doesn’t matter as long as you die!” Commander said. 

And I heard a reverberate, coming from the heart of the earth! This time it’s a very strong tremor! The desert ground in an instant froze into an ice age, and it breaks like ice blocks! Oh! I didn’t notice the whole area has become ice so fast! The desert has become ice! And it’s shaking and breaking! What’s gonna happen now!? 

“You all made a mistake, waking up the monster Lord Snow!” Someone said.

Who was it?! I turn at my left, it was captain Willie. He was smiling like a pale dead man. His eyes deep and dark, seems like he is afraid of lord snow than the enemy.

”We are all going to die, the commander has become a wild beast, he doesn’t recognize a friend or a foe anymore. I know all about the truth of what he’s done in annihilating and burying kingdoms, because I was there."

What did he say?!

A hard laugh was heard, it’s one of those legionnaires standing around us. He unveil his hood and reveal his face. A silver haired guy and curving eyes along with his grin, he is young same with my age I guess.

“We are all going to die? Don’t make me laugh, your commander is indeed somewhat strong. But the man he is facing is Lord Commander Marv Z, not just the shield of the king, but the one who is entitled by our King himself to become the next king when the time comes even though he is not of the blood related to the King. Your commander destroyed a kingdom he say?” He laughed hard exposing his palish teeth!

“What’s so funny about destroying a kingdom?” Wilson got mad and answered the silver haired guy, “Can your proud Lord Commander do that?” 

Wilson is mocking back the enemy! 

“He destroyed 12 Kingdoms in one day” the silver haired said frowning, 

I accidentally gobbled my saliva! Did I hear him correctly?! Or the noise of the tremors is what I’m hearing?! 

“You guys spout nonsense without measure, the commander is right, you guys are indeed mentally retarded!” Wilson said with a half smile 

The shaking is getting extreme. And the cracks are all around us, slowly reaching us. And if that happens we would fall to the heart of the earth and die. Well, only us would die as we are in chained and we can’t get to our hands our swords!

The silver haired guy draw his sword and said, “By the way I’m Silver Dan, nice to meet you, fortunately for you, we can’t let you die, as Lord Commander says. ‘Uncloak’, Hover Sword!”. 

The Crack of the ice where we were standing had reached! And it opened and I can see the darkness below the earth! How scary! But we’re not falling! We are moving up to the sky while the barrier is still around us. Is this the silver haired guy’s power?

We are above and the view is very clear from here of what’s happening down there. the ground below are falling apart. What an incredible power the commander has to create such impact on earth! While the land crumbles where we were. I could see the commander standing on a pile of snow as if it was fetching him! He is floating! 

However! The old man is still there, standing in a spot where the land still hang around while all around him had already fall 50 feet beneath the earth! But his face! He is still smiling! 

“I would appreciate if you surrender now” the enemy said to the commander. 

But he did not answer him. His eyes gone all dark this time, he is smirking like an animal, his mouth is spread open with his teeth in display and there’s more, he’s got  fangs! What is going on?! 

The old man talk again and said “Surrender and you will live”. 

“Surrender?” lord snow laugh with a sharp voice, like of an animal. “I will destroy everything that comes in my way!” 

I felt something vile from him, he is emitting dark aura that I’ve never seen him use before, what kind of power is this?! 

The look on the enemy’s face switched, his gaze narrowed, and he said “That’s the power of those who have fallen from grace, the power of the arcane law”

I didn’t get what he said! 

The commander replied, “Yes, and you’re about to taste it today!”

His voice is really different from the commander I always hear talk!

“I don’t want my hands to get spilled by your blood by killing you, I’m done with you” the enemy said. 

And he turn above, towards us and he called out “Silver Dan!”, 

As soon as his voice reached us, the silver haired guy who was standing in front of us, disappeared and there was a wind blew as if he jump somewhere with haste kicking the air! My eyes couldn’t follow what was going on, but I spotted him bellow beside the old man. 

“I’ll leave it to you” the man said to the silver haired guy. 

“Hey! Where are you going Shield of the King?! We’re not done yet, fine then, I will devour you both” commander said with a wild voice. 

“Nope, nobody will get devoured, and this man is your opponent from now on” the enemy replied.

“A lame kid!? You’re going to feed this kid to me!? Fine then” lord snow said sounding like an aberrant man ready to gorge anything on his way as it shows on his face and his saliva is flowing like crazy! 

“You’d better not underestimate this kid” the old man said with a smile, 

He turn his back and started to descend towards us, I can see that he’s stepping something solid that I don’t see with my bare eyes, but the only thing I see is that it’s kind of invisible, as if there’s something moving fast that it creates an image of a lot of swords making his feet stood still on his footing.

My eyes caught a movement! The commander dash towards the man using his snow to carry him, and his sword in a stance to cut the back of the enemy! It was too fast! The next thing I saw, the man is unharmed again and still flying towards us without a care of what’s happening behind him. 

The commander was shock that his attack didn’t reach the man! He thought he swung his arm towards the man. But wait! He lost his arm! As the blood is gushed out from his cut off limb. There’s the silver hair guy in before the commander all of a sudden, his sword coated in blood from that swing. The commander cried wildly with pain, as he lost his arm, blood continue to burst out like a flood from the cut off his arm. And I saw his arm fell to the bottom of the darkness while his sword still on the grip of the cut off arm. The commander stretch his left arm below where the cracks, and he summoned his sword and it flew towards his palm while struggling of the pain of the cut off right arm. 

“You brat! I will kill you and eat you” he said struggling with pain, as he point his sword to the silver haired guy. 

“You should stop underestimating me, I am one of the disciples of the Shield of the King, you should expect something big from me” the silver hair reply with a smile. 

The commander made a poise with his sword, and the snow gathered around the silver hair guy so quickly. He’s intending to bury him! 

Before it could fully surround the silver hair guy, he make a move and slice the wall snow! I thought it was just a one swing, I saw a multifold swings! Like too fast too see, the the wall collapsed! What kind of power is this?! He’s too fast! 

The commander eye’s widened with fear! He felt cautious of the guy’s power. He guarded himself with his shield snow. 

While he was inside of the circling snow the commander made a grin, the his wound close and the blood stopped and the wound was covered with fresh flesh and it happened when some snows gathered around scathe arm, and he said “Come at me boy!”

The silver haired guy replied “So you’re power is to bury stuff, you should work at the cemetery then. It looks like you’re power is useless to those who can fly like me. What a lame power” he snorted.

After he said that, the commander got pissed I believe as he veer his sword inside his barrier, with his remaining left arm and it summoned a lot of spear ice in all sides of the enemy and all of them drive to pierce him front and back! 

The guy rear his sword, I think my eyes have finally catch up to what this guy’s been doing. He slivered all the spears one by one, but with superhuman speed and monstrous strength! All the spears were shattered! 

The commander still wondering and can’t get the guy’s power as he dropped his jaw!  The enemy started to move towards the commander slowly. 

Lord Fritz seemed frightened as he is in a defense mode even inside of his snow barrier. I can see that he smells defeat and he is in despair. His eyes melting with fear. 

The silver haired guy, charged his barrier in front with super-speed strikes, with every hit, a snow cracks and being blown! The guy stopped attacking. The barrier is still there! My jaw dropped as I saw that super-speed attacks that no one can defend against it on a mere sword-fight! What amazed me also is that the commander’s barrier is indeed indestructible! 

“So, is that all you got brat?! The commander laugh while mixed with fear, “It looks like I know how strong you are, I think I overestimated you then....”.

while the commander was mouthing, the shear the barrier with his sword, but it was a mere hit, and without power behind it, and all it did was make a cling sound as his sword stuck the hard snow barrier. 

Unexpectedly the commander was blown away after that! He was like a twig with his barrier still around him! 

What was that?! The commander made a counterbalance and stop the force of being smashed away with his face puzzled of what happened! 

“I don’t want to kill you, but those people who practice the same power as you do are the ones who’s been persecuting our kingdom. Therefore I can’t let you live”. The silver haired guy said.

These people has been spouting nonsense since the beginning! I still don’t get what they are talking about! 

The guy drop out of sight! But it looks like my eyes can follow him now, but I don’t know why I can see his movements now! I thought he was teleporting, but no! He’s just moving so fast! And now he’s moving round and round with the commander. The eyes of the lord snow can’t keep up as his eyes doddered with fear and his eyeballs are shaking with madness he was looking every where to search for the guy! 

The enemy finally attacks! At all sides! But this time, he doubled the power behind his swing! It was like a more than a hundred attacks that seems a five attacks in three seconds! The barrier of the commander crumbled! He then stood behind of the commander, as he noticed the enemy from behind, he then swing it recklessly with a full force empowered by his snow, hoping that he could struck the guy with luck. 

The guy fly again and he already cut the remaining left arm of the commander! His hand skid to the crack bellow along with his sword just like his right arm earlier. The enemy was standing next to the left of the commander, as the commander turn around to his left where the guy is, his balance was off he fell to the left squatting pathetically in the melting ice as his left leg has already been cut by the guy. He looks woeful. He forced himself to stand with one leg! Blood are leaking like an open faucet! From his cut arm, and his left leg. The snow that’s carrying him has turn like a blood ground and it was melting red! It’s slowly collapsing as well, that means, the life of the commander is about to end! 

How cruel! The tales were true! As I cried with the tears flowing down my face and my teeth gnashing with anger towards the enemy! My eyesight is getting dark, I feel like my eyes are being taken over by something I do not know! I shake my head! And somehow I get a hold of it, it faded in my sight the darkness that was all around the corner in my sight. 

I look below again to see what’s going on. The commander is still standing with his one leg, while losing a lot of blood.

Lord snow’s face went back as it is, the commander I recognized, and he smile and said with an aching voice, “Please finish me off, please, save me from this curse, the others don’t practice this power, please spare them. I made a mistake about this power” He cough with blood and and he was catching his breath...yet he continues, “Don’t let me live, or else they will come for me again and use me again. Make sure to kill me Paradesian brat!” 

The silver haired guy, made a measuring look, he’s about to give the final blow! He did cut him, but it was multiple onslaught! He slashed his ribs! His back! His throat! His leg! The right side of his head was cut as well! And there’s still more! He’s being cut continually from all sides! He’s being butchered like an animal! And finally he stabbed him, it was so fast that the enemy was standing at the back of the commander. His sword pierced through his chest from the back! The guy was holding his sword backward on its hilt and he’s standing back to back with the commander being stabbed! I just closed my eyes as I don’t want to see more of this! 

I unfurled my eyes after a couple of minutes have passed, no it’s been hours already as I held my eyes closed as I can. I know that we already moved to a different area. We are still in chained sitting with out butts. 

The brothers Wilson and Willie are still unharmed also. We have move to a place where it’s still part of the desert but away from the cracks on the earth where the battle was.

Before us are the Paradesian Legionnaires, all seven of them looking down on us. 

The old man, padded forward, their Lord Commander, with a sad look on his face and he said to us, “My deepest condolences, and apology as it comes to this outcome. There’s a lot of things going on that you can’t comprehend yet, but someday you will”. 

Willie spat on his shoes. “You murderer! You guys are indeed inhuman! You have lived up to your name indeed! One day we will avenge our commander!” he cried, as his veins are showing up on his neck and forehead! 

He must be desperate to get his revenge! 

The silver haired guy draw his sword, and Willie’s eyes swelled with fear and froze to death, and he was silence by his own tongue being snapped. 

“Sheathe your sword Silver Dan” Their Lord Commander rebuke him!

He smiled with a deep glare to the silver guy. He then put back his sword to its sheath. 

Their Lord commander turned to us and he said, “For now I can only tell you one thing: Surrender and you will live”
