CHAPTER XI. “PARADEISIAN ARRIVES: WAR IN CHAMENOS”

The light encircles me and I can’t see what’s going on outside of this walling great kiln and I can’t see the enemies and the king! What is this?! But thank for this I got healed a little bit, and got saved from death. 

A door of light appeared, a small one, it’s like a hole connecting from another place, and something materialized from it, a man, and all I can see is his back. A heavy dark shadow against the shining light covering my eyes.

When I saw the man, he was wearing a white shining cloak of the Paradeisian. 

The portal closed. And I didn’t understand why only one arrived. The enemies are very strong, one legionnaire is not enough no matter how powerful it is! 

The man turned down to me and said, “Hey brat, ‘you still alive?” 

That voice, I recognized it, I was looking at his feet that’s covered in armor down to his silver boots and I tilt my head up to him, I saw beneath of his cloak, He was wearing an armor hidden as it was covered with a shabby clothes on top of it. I look at his face--it’s prince Edz!

“I--I’m still alive prince Edz,” I rattled to respond. 

The illumination that was circling us evanesced and there the enemies scowling at us, they were bewildered too of what was that light. They have eyed that someone arrived, and I can see that they are moving towards us, they are gonna attack us!

“Take a rest brat, you’ve done more than enough protecting your kingdom,” the prince said. 

With my wide eyes I was speechless. He draw his sword, crossing his arms, his two swords silver swords, with marking on its blade, that seems familiar. Yes! Those markings are seems similar with mines! He starts padding towards the enemies. 

I’m going to witness the power of the prince, but can he take them all? There are too many of them and powerful. And he doesn’t even know their abilities! The wind blew in a sudden change, I didn’t feel despair that was killing me a moment ago. All the burden and ill feelings have gone. The moment the prince arrived, it seems like he absorbed it all and burn them with an exchange of an aroma of relief and hope. I can feel it as he walks towards the enemies, he’s oscillating courage and glory!

My eyes caught in a second granny and commander Nancy galloped in both side, it’s a pincer attack and a surprise one. Commander Nancy disappeared with his time heist sword. And the prince suddenly vanished from my sight as well, and he turn up just a meter away from where he was standing and there is commander Nancy also, but wait! His sword hollowed through from her back. He caught her just like that, and my eyes didn’t catch what transpire, it was too fast. He pull his sword and she drop face down to the ground dead, just like that! 

The wind blew again in the midst of us. And I could smell it, but now it’s the dread and fear coming from Granny. She snarled when she saw it. And release an immense amount of phoenix fire towards the prince. 

He meet the fiery phoenix! What is the prince doing?! 

He sliced the phoenix into half with his sword s***h! It was like a red cloud that torn into half. The fiery phoenix was cut just like that! Until he reached granny, and she didn’t expect it to happen like that, she froze by what she saw. Her proud power has been shattered in an instant. The prince shear her chest to bottom. Blood scattered and she was thrown to the ground--dead. 

I look towards the enemy invaders, their leader Zap is still grinning. He didn’t even care about them being dead. He gestured the other two enemies, the boy and the girl to attack the prince. 

The girl stretch her sword, with her hand trembling in fear, and light shone and missiles billowed flowing towards the prince. 

He jump towards the missiles and started tearing all of them on the air. The explosions didn’t bother the prince! Amazing, what kind of sword is he wielding anyway?! 

The girl kept her attack after attack, and after a series of it being torn apart she rattled as she reached her limit, she’s out of grace! she’s a dead meat now! 

The prince walk slowly towards her. The other kid dash from behind him--it’s the ace out sword kid! Be careful prince Edz I shouted in my mind! 

He pivot hardly from his right hand, and the prince just block it with his right sword upon spinning towards him. The kid was stunned, he pulled his sword back and jump in a distance. He pointed his sword towards the prince and start launching those air wave assaults that can’t be seen. 

The prince seems to see those air waves coming, as he swing just his right sword many times, it seems like he parred those powerful and dangerous airwaves. The kid sunk about what he saw, he lost a grip of himself and he growled and scampered towards the prince with a series of strokes. And each of them are heavily hook. 

But the prince clashed all of them with just his right sword in his hand! The kid is persisting in striking the prince flashily and angrily, but it’s being snared and parred. What is going on?! Why his ace out sword not working?! Sweat covered the kid’s face, he was panting and his legs are shaking to death. 

How funny, earlier you were so mighty, but now look at you, you’re like dog with a tail behind its legs.

The kid got tired, and his last whop clang with the prince’ sword as it was without a force behind it. He is out of strength yet he is still pushing it towards the prince as if he’s not giving up! 

The prince shove him with his sword and the kid was pushed back in few steps. The prince made a step and a stance towards the kid, starts striking him with a combination of s***h. He’s being cut all over, he’s making a step back to avoid fatal blows as he’s trying to parred some of it. 

The prince halted from his attacks, and I noticed that he is only using his right hand sword! 

Blood splashing all of the place. I saw the legs of the kid shrunk in fear and any time it will fall to the ground, his eyes widened like he have seen death. 

The prince once again swiftly move towards the kid. It was too late for him to react. And it was too fast for my eyes to follow, the prince past through the kid with his left sword held high with a tint of blood. A sharp hissed was heard. The kid spun his head to the prince but as soon as he did, his head fell and blood sprinkled around his neck. His head has been cut off! His body followed to fall to the ground, cold as corpse. 

Prince Edz spun to the girl on the side who was resting, she cowered as she met his gaze, she made a step back, and the prince galloped to her and it was too late for her to retaliate as she raise her sword and attempting to release those explosives, but the prince was already before her. 

A fast gash cut her hand and it flew like a twig, before she could scream of pain, the prince gave her a course of thrash all over her body. She wasn’t able to scream, she died of those attacks and drop to the ground soaked on her own blood. 

The hearthstone absorbed all of their blood, yet the breeze still blew that it did not make me feel fear of those red blood tinting the ground.

The leader of the enemy named Zap, finally had a long face and opened his mouth, “Our king will punish you for that!” With his face unhappy and pissed.

“Your King?” The prince replied with a pale gaze on him 

“Just so you wait until he arrives here you Filth!” Zap said angrily

“No one is coming to avenge you weaklings,” the prince say. 

Then Zab had a measuring look, but he just make a grin to cover his confusion.

“Enjoy your moment while you can, our king will arrive now,” Zab said back to being enthusiastically.

The prince turn his back from Zap, which I don’t understand. And he starts walking away from him! And he uttered, “You are all unworthy to battle, you just put a filth in my swords and now my cloak and armor stinks with your filthy blood.”

“Where do you think your going, the real war is about to come,” Zap said, 

He look up to the sky where a black hole appeared again, it’s the portal! Their king is coming indeed as he said! But the prince, doesn’t he notice the black hole above?! Or he doesn’t even care! The prince halted, turn and tilt his head up at the portal calmly and turn to Zap just to see him slightly while his body is still facing backward. 

“I already killed your feeble king, we already invaded your kingdom, destroyed it,” the prince said. 

Zap was more baffled to what he heard, so he look up to the black hole and awaited of who’s coming out of the portal. His grin is now mixed with fear, his lips curving up yet it’s bending down, his emotions are confuse itself. The look in his eyes up toward to portal is begging for hope, a confirmation that reinforcement has come, but in his heart he knew that he was uncertain. But he hoped for it, he stretch his hand out and beg for hope!

Two men showed up, one wearing a white cloak, and the other wearing a white robe that’s familiar to me! I didn’t believe what I saw, it wasn’t a legionnaire from Katastrefo, they wore not a black armor. Instead I saw instantly a fish eye carved in the left arm of the cloak and one carved above a right eye! There’s no other man who has that! It’s old man Marv and silver Dan! Paradesian legionnaires! 

Zap was astonished by what he saw! His mouth opened locked as if he have seen a ghost. He then stretch his hand both in his sides, and a gleam of light showed up a yellow gold. And wind seems being suck within him embracing, 

Suddenly appeared the other four legionnaires, the four seems to be in the middle of a battle as they are still in a stance of fighting someone, they turned to Zap with concern and puzzled. They became at ease when they saw their lord commander Zap.

“I need you all to kill that man,” Zap cried and pointed his finger to lord Marv with great anger! 

Wait, what? Does he know him!?

“How long has it been Zap?” old man Marv said with a warm smile. “As I thought, you are behind all of this, no wonder the king in Katstrefo was so weak, you’ve been manipulating the kingdom after all. The last kingdom you were in, that I destroyed with my own hands, what was the name of it? I already forgot . . . I’ve been looking for you Zap all over the place.” 

“I never thought you are a Paradesian legionnaire Marv, you never wear that fish eye in your forehead in our previous battles. And the last time we fought you almost had me,” Zap said while his gawk are sharp and his eyebrows shaking. 

It’s like seeing old man Marv is hurting him already.

“Had you?” Lord Marv chucked, “I don’t want to kill you Zap.”

“Damn you Marv,” Zap murmured, he had a straight long face after hearing that

His eyes turned red with anger, he looks pathetic all of a sudden.

“That man right there is the one who defeated your king and all of your minions. That is Prince Edz, I would say that he’s power rivals mine,” lord marv said pointing down to the prince. 

And Zap spun to the prince and he rattled. But the prince is just ignoring all of them as he standing turning his back from them. 

“And this my disciple here, is almost at my strength,” lord Marv turning to silver Dan

“Well, we will have to fight you then,” Zap replied cracking his voice.

“It’s not just us,” lord Marv said. 

From the black hole above showed up four men, no, women! I couldn’t believe what I saw, it’s the four monster sisters: lady Kathleen, lady Christine, lady Cristina, and lady Raiva! They are alive! 

“These ladies here, you couldn’t kill them, that’s why you kidnapped them with a cheap trick. You couldn’t perform your ritual, and all your plans were not working in the first place. When will you learn Zap? You should turn your wicked ways and repent,” old man marv said.

Zap laughed slowly with a grin. “Who knows? Marv, we were an old friends, but we have chosen a different path.”

What? Old friend with lord Marv? No way! 

“Marv, you keep denying the truth, to keep their mind at peace, but it will truly come to be revealed one day. Even in Paradeso Kingdom there are already among---” 

Zap didn’t finish what he was saying, as lord Marv stretch his arm towards them and a wind and shock-wave rushed through them and his minions were blasted away, but I could see it. I knew it, it’s his sword that moves in a lightning speed! 

Zap has already drawn his sword and seems he is stopping something in front of him. And his sword is sparking as if it is clashing with a lot of swords unseen! 

“The breathless sword, I’m always impressed with its great power so immerse that even my Putrefy sword is not working against it. We are truly a match up Marv, but you shouldn’t be interrupting someone who is talking, that’s rude of you,” Zap said. And he commanded his minions. “Go kill them!” 

But they were hesitant to attack because they look above and look to where we are, where Prince is with me. They are confused whom to attack, because they are indeed in a disadvantage. If they attack above, it’s lord Marv and Silver than, they are both monsters I know that, and there’s the four sisters as well. But if they come to us, the Prince will finish them all, as he just defeated the other four in an instant. 

Old man Marv motioned his hand that the pressure that was pressing Zap flee. And he smiled at the enemy. 

Full-tilt the four sisters dive in towards the enemy. They got no choice but to clash with them so they meet them in their assault. It was as explosive battle that now began, I couldn’t follow of what was happening as I was still recovering. I hear an explosion here and there. I thought I was fully recovered, it looks like I took a worst beating and my healing is not going to be that fast as I wanted to. 

The prince came to where I was sitting on the ground. He look at me with is grim eyes and it made me gulp, and then he look away turning to the battle before us. And there I turn my attention as well.

The four sisters formed their position as they dived in, leading them is lady Raiva! She clashed with an enemy who was heading them as well, and it was a young boy, way younger than me, I think of an age of 10, the boy’s attitude in battle is like of that kid with the ace out sword. Confident in battle, and I remember earlier, this was the kid named Plunder whom they talked about who was interested in the lord commander’s Excalibur. Plunder, What kind of sword does he possess?! 

Lady Raiva’s silver hair is up and alive like a curse weeds waving to the air, this is her version of being a witch unleashing her full power. She then uncork those violet water like a tidal wave towards the boy! 

The boy grin, “Cream!” he called out his comrade, 

“On it, Plunder,” she answered and they switched position and the girl named Cream point her sword toward the violet surge, and a wave of mud came out from her sword! What in the world is that power?! And it converges with the tidal wave, and all the violet water were mixed by that mud and stopped from surging, melted down just a mud.

“You take us a fools ugly? We know it’s a poisoned water,” the girl named Cream said to lady Raiva. 

Suddenly lady Cristina jump above lady Raiva, and aired those silver water that move so fleet surrounding the girl like a snake and it enfetter her body. Wow she caught her! It’s over for her, it’s lady Cristina’s specialty, the binding silver water that can’t be broken. Its strength is tougher a metal chain. 

“Phew, that was an easy catch,” lady Cristina uttered confidently as she push back her hair. 

She turn her back and spun to lady Raiva, 

Her eyes darkened and wide, “Cristina!” Lady Raiva cried, and before she could turn back to the enemy, she was already stroked with the enemy’s sword on her side! I saw what happened, the silver water that was binding her was meld with mud and then it melted down! Lady Cristina coughed in blood as the enemy twist her sword in her side! 

It caught the attention of lady Kathleen, and she was enraged by what she saw! No! Don’t loose your cool lady Kathleen! She resolved to get revenge on the enemy who struck her sister, yet she was barred with the boy named Plunder

“Opps, I’m your enemy,” the boy said to her, “and you know why I got the name Plunder?” he ask with a menacing face.

“I have no interest in your name boy. Get out of my way!” 

“You have to get rid of me,” he smiled to her

She wind her sword recklessly towards the boy as the result of her rage, she is out of stance in the serious battle. There it is the pink water that slice through anything, sharper that is almost like that of the king’s wind sword! But all of them were dodged by the boy as they were out of aim! 

The boy attack her with an obvious swing to her head! He was smiling as he assault, something is fishy! Lady Kathleen be careful! He’s up to something! 

“You mocking me boy?!” she roared to the enemy, 

Then she parred it with a greater swing cloaking her sword with pink blade water to make it more hefty and edgy! When their sword tussled a blue light ignited in their blades. Lady Kathleen’s eyes were lock to her sword, she made a grip and pull it, but it seems it’s sticking to the boy’s sword. 

“This is my ‘treasure sword’, and this sword possess a power to steal cherub swords and add it to my collection. Of course I can’t use your sword once it’s mine because it’s doesn’t sink with the nature of my grace, but I will add yours to my collection, and I’m more than happy with that,” he explained with a grin

“What did you say?!” Lady Kathleen cried with spleen as she cant pull it out and she can’t activate its power.

“Do you know what will happen if you don’t let go and don’t give up on your sword, my sword will suck all of your grace until there’s nothing left, you feel it now don’t you?” the boy said smirking. 

She keep on pulling it with all she can, she even garnered her grace to strengthen her clasp but it’s not working!

“Christine help me!” She cried out loud! 

Lady Christine then come to her aid with a huge hammer crystallized with her blue water! 

“I wouldn’t get off my eyes from Clobber if I were you,” the boy said to lady Christine who was behind ready to pummel him! 

There was an enemy indeed at her back also who followed her, that named Clobber. Lady Christine got confuse she turned to the enemy at her back.

“What are you doing Christine?!” Lady Kathleen Complained! 

“Keep it cool sister! This is why we are getting defeated because these enemies have been playing our minds. I’ll be right back at you, hold on,” lady Christine roared. 

She held her sword high and heightened some solid blue waters forming a wall, huge spear, hammer and axe! The enemy is encompassed by weapons to get crushed! 

But she was only wielding a little blade, a little sword, that it can’t even be called one! It’s like an oversize a knife! What is her power? And she lift it with her right hand, and place the blade to her left palm, it is indeed small. She smiled to lady Christine.

“This is called a Rabbit Sword, by the sized of it, it’s like of a rabbit, small and easy to judge. But this little sword have destroyed legionnaire’s blades and lives,” she said with an enigmatic grin.

Lady Christine didn’t bother listening to her, and motioned her sword, and the aegis waters moved with a force in all sides of the enemy to pulverize her! In just a few seconds, water spattered from where the enemy was, I didn’t understand what was going on! The hammer formed blue water exploded like a balloon and the other, after one another! Lady Christine’s eye was curious to see what was going on! Until the visual field was clear and there was the enemy unharmed! 

Lady Christine created a cube and trapped the enemy inside. This time she can’t escape! Good thinking milady!

“Poor you Clobber, you are entrap, need some help?” The boy who still locked lady Kathleen’s sword and still sucking her grace said as he turns to her

“Shut up Plunder!” She answered. 

She made a stance with her little sword. And the next thing I saw is that she moved so fast stabbing the water wall. And it pikes through it! I don’t believe it, she destroyed the supposedly indestructible blue water with her tiny sword!

“You should’ve let me finished my explaination about my sword. This may be a small blade by its firepower is like an excalibur. It’s like a giant sword immeshed in this tiny sword. And I can move this fast. Do you understand now?”  

I saw on the other side, lady Kathleen loose strength that her knee slams on the ground, yet she is still clinging to her sword with her struggling grip and wont let. You gotta let go lady Kathleen or else all your grace will be absorbed! 

The boy stretch his right leg back, he’s going for a full force kick, and it landed on the jaw of lady Kathleen! Her head snapped on the air but still didn’t let go of her sword. 

“It seems like you need a hand to make her let go of that sword,” the other enemy said, the one with the rabbit sword.

She galloped towards them without a hesitation struck lady Kathleen’s hand, her arms exploded and bone and flesh go off of the impact. That little sword is indeed massive on its attack! Her hand though been carved from her shoulder is still clenching at the enemy’s sword. And the boy shook it and the hand flew off from its grip with blood squirting! 

Not had enough, she is planning to stab lady Kathleen who is almost unconscious as she took a thrust stance! Stop! There I saw a swift motion, she stabbed her! I couldn’t blink as I wanted to stop her! 

But Lady Christine shielded her sister, but not with her steeled blue water! But with her own body! Her flesh on her inside wrecked and exploded as she was struck in her back. The little sword punched through her body like it was a paper! The enemy pulled her sword, and her body fall to the right like a dead stick, not moving--dead. 

The enemy wasn’t satisfied with her cruelty, her attention turn to lady Kathleen who is still standing without an arm, bleeding like a faucet, standing unconscious and struck her head with her destructive sword! I almost avoid the scenery, but I couldn’t as I am bursting in rage! 

I stood on the ground, and ready to jump to the scene when my shoulder was clutched and it stopped me from moving forward. I spun and it was the prince who stall me, I look him in the eyes as tear running through my face and with anger and about to lose myself. 

The prince met my gaze with his cold eyes without uttering a word. And I get what he meant by that look. So I just calm myself and look down to the ground while I gnash my teeth in anger. And I just closed my eyes still tears slipping. 

I just couldn’t believe what I’m witnessing, I don’t believe it! I just saw lady Kathleen’s head blasted like a balloon and I saw the flesh of her brain and other parts of her head sprinkled ! But why are they just staring and not helping?! I may be thankful that they showed up and it saved me from a brink of death, but why is it that they are just doing nothing now?! And Silver Dan too! Why is he on stand by and not helping? And old man Marv as well! What the hell is wrong is with them?! I can’t do this! I can’t stay doing nothing! 

I hid my intent of rage, then I clench my sword and I ready my footing, then kick the ground and jump into the enemy though it’s too late, I should have done this earlier and if I did, maybe who knows I could’ve saved any of them, but I know it’s too late now! I just have to avenge them as I am filled with fury now! 

She didn’t noticed me as I have shifted in such a speed, I’m almost at her back, I’m gonna kill her! But a boy just suddenly bulk in my view and barred me. I almost forgot, this boy was with them when they showed up, and this one didn’t join the battle but just stood watching them from afar! I don’t care who is this boy, it looks like I’m gonna kill him first, I can see that he is wielding a normal sword. 

My whisk was on the momentum and my strike will be stronger because of the speed added into it. I thrust my sword as fast as I could to impale him--- 

He dodged shifting to the left, and he s***h the top of my sword. What is he doing?! I tighten my grip on my sword, tilt the sharpness toward him and whirled to him blindly---

I realized that all my surrounding became bloody red, no way! 

There’s blood all over me, it’s like I’m in a room of blood, I snag and took a step back, and I noticed that I’m stepping on a blood, I can feel that it made my footing soft to stand and it’s wet and think! What is going on here?! Where am I?! And the bloody room is shrinking and blood is getting closer and it’s drenching all over, I can smell it, it stinks, this blood is like an old blood of people, a rotten blood! My eyeballs are stiffening and I cant move as the dense blood is pressing on and I’m being swallowed! 

“Help me! Help! Can somebody hear me?! Help!” I cried pathetically!

“Poor and naive guy, earlier you were heroic, and now you are crying like a baby,” a voice that I heard, and it laugh at me with mockery. “Oh by the way my name is Harry, and you may enjoy the power of my illusion sword,” and he laughs again. 

Did he say illusion sword?! Then all of this is an illusion created by his grace with his sword! But I can touch and feel this gross stinking thick dark blood! And I’m swallowed and now I’m holding my breath, any time soon I’ll loose my breath! Help! 

Suddenly I head a scream, it was that boy’s scream, that same boy’s voice. It sounds like he was in a great pain. Now what is going on?! Before I know it, I was back at the open field, I can see the fading sky and I breath heavily, I have gone cold as my sweat feels like ice sliding down my face. I look around my body, I’m dry, and I don’t smell bloody hell anymore?! The illusion, what happened?! 

“Hey, you never encountered an enemy with an illusion sword?! Man, you are inexperienced!” 

I turned and it was Silver Dan who spoke, and what I saw, shock me, he is holding his sword backward and it is gashing the kid’s chest through. This scene is familiar, that’s like what he did to commander Fritz, but anyways he came to help me then.

“Before you thank me, let me teach you something, illusion is only created by grace, so if you interrupt it with a greater amount of grace than the one who created the illusion, you can escape from that illusion,” silver Dan said with a curving smile and eyes. 

He pulled his sword and the lifeless enemy fell as a corpse. And he fly but I was able to catch his movement as my experienced fighting him, he trotted before the other enemy, the boy with a treasure sword. 

“Hey boy, you want this sword? Oh this will be a great add to your collection. Wanna suck my grace too? Here’s my sword,” silver Dan said while smiling and leaning his sword towards the enemy! 

Is he crazy!? And the enemy from afar a girl named Clobber, yelled, “You’ll regret it being cocky ugly silver hair!” 

Silver Dan turned to me scratching his face with his point finger, “Did he just called me ugly?” He was dissed indeed. This guy is funny no matter the odds, at wanted to laugh at him. But we are in the middle of the battle!

The enemy took advantage of Silver Dan not paying attention to the enemy and strike his sword with his treasure sword! The enemy smiled as if it was a swift victory but his eyes widened when his sword shook like crazy and it decimated into pieces of metals and all that’s left was the hilt! 

It happened in an instant while Silver Dan was still turning to me, and he spun to the enemy before him, “Oh What happened to your sword?!” He ask the enemy with a shock. But I know he was bluffing and just toying with the enemy.

The boy didn’t answer as he was shock in awe, and he was spooked after losing his sword. 

The other enemy run with speed to rescue her comrade, it’s the girl with a rabbit sword, her movement was caught by Silver Dan and he turn his attention to her as she comes to attack. 

He made a stance of a thrust as the enemy is gonna thrust her destructive little sword!  Wait, does he know how destructive the enemy’s sword is?! I need to warn him! But it’s too late, it was a fraction of second when the point of their swords met. And the baleful blade of the enemy was splintered like a vulnerable glass! The sword of Silver Dan continued to drive to her chest. She coughed in a thick blood.

There the enemy got defeated just like that! And with a blink of an eye, he sprinted to the other enemy named Cream, he jump to her side and I couldn’t see what happened because of the dust all over the place. The only thing that I saw was the enemy’s head was missing. It was on the ground. 

After that he moved slowly, and now towards the the boy who’s sword got shattered earlier. He look down on him, and the boy’s leg was shaking to death. 

“I can see in you, the souls that you took from people,” silver Dan said to the boy, but his time his lips was straight like a line.

The boy look up with a wide paled eye, he saw death in Silver Dan. 

He lean to the side and lift his right leg and swung it to the boy’s head, it was a flash kick. It broke the boy’s neck and skull and he drop blood dripping from his noise, eye, and mouth. He killed the boy just with that!

He then turn his gaze to somewhere, and I followed him, and there I saw the leader of the enemies Zap, but wait, he is holding lady Raiva in her neck and is being lifted like a doll! What did I missed? How long was I trapped in that illusion?! Damn it! 

In front of Zap is old man Marv standing.
