WildFlower Episode 2- Chapter 2 ~~Over at the docks; At The Shipping grounds~~ I sat under a tree in a hammock watching as my husband, his fellow friends and trusted cousins join him to welcome his parents- Kiara River and Peyton River. His brother followed with a lady- Dayne River and Alice Compton: she was not yet married in. Many other people followed off the cruise ship. My husband's looks back at me to ensure my presence and I give him a smile, my eyes drifting back to the tall man in black, flashed with gold- one stylishly painted his bottom tooth and ink darkened his skin. I recall the last time we spoke. The seriousness of the situation if it didn't go the way it did. He was a wicked man, vengeful. Qualities that a man I hate possess. He was no different. I tried to convince myself but I then remember all the countless times he came to save us, maybe not directly; but the family needed him. He ran the largest operations supported by the government- not to use against the people but the enemies. I somewhat found it all absurd but, the power, status and money was real. Worth it enough to believe in; yet, it didn't make me as happy as I hoped. Issac began staying out all night working. After my days of being head of the main school board, I'd come home to an empty space. Only glad to find him in the morning snuggled up beneath me. My husband makes his way to me and I get out carefully from where I swung, allowing my bare feet to touch the grass. He makes it to me. "why are you not wearing shoes?" He was concerned and fixes my sandles for me. "They hurt and..I wanted to go down to the beach. I dont have to meet your family right now, I know how you guys like to have dinner and catch up." I smiled and lift my satin knee drapping dress of silver to my thighs and kicked the sandals away. "My dear. Please..please don't be a brat." He chuckles in all seriousness but I was bored, and he was so uptight. last night he was so distant, now all he can focus on is the embarrassment he'll have to endure tonight at dinner. And I? I was only a married woman that missed the touch of her husband. "..then make me stop being a brat." I smiled as I stepped away but when I looked around, I found Dayne approaching us- alone. I stop in my path and Issac also turns to find him, his body tensing up to prepare. All while Dayne is calm, threatening. "Ill go to the beach." "Good afternoon My lady." He greets, looking me up and down. I also looked at the straps hanging off my shoulder, now feeling exposed. "Stunning as ever-" "Dayne. Dont talk to her. Let's talk over there." Issac says but without the harsh hate. Dayne looks him up and down. "Tahlia go get the carriage." He orders but before I took a step Dayne speaks. "I'm actually here to speak to your wife. Its only fair, she's the one that called. Not surprised to see that you f****d up in less than 3 years." He taunts Issac and I feel annoyed for him. "Im not talking to you without my husband Dayne. Cut the nonsense okay. I called and you talk with your brother-" "Brother?" He seems to want to correct as he laugh a little and walk to me. I don't rush away, so I looked to Issac. "I- I dont think you should consider him- Me, his brother." Dayne looks back to me, towering over me like it was nothing. I could see the disgust in his eyes at the fact alone, that I'm his brother's wife. "After all, I'm going to f**k his wife." He degrades me as if I had no brain of my own. Suddenly, a slap rings out into the atmosphere and I'm even shocked at what I just did. I just slapped the most influential man of elite status and wealth across the face- the same man I called here to save our- my ass. Everyone was looking at us from a distance and even Issac runs over to reach me but Dayne swiftly pulls out a pointed, sharp and shinning dagger, striking it near my throat as he smiles. "Don't take another f*****g step. We'rejust talking. Nothing to worry about." He rubs his right cheek and looks down at me before he grabs my throat. Issac charges to retaliate but before he could, Dayne shouts at him with immense support of his retaliation. My toes stayed against the grassy ground before I am swift up and thrown over his shoulder. I Vanish behind the bushes, high and off the ground; only left to my screams and demands to unhand me. I knew Issac deeply wanted to follow but Dayne had one rule and one rule only. Do not get in his way. And when he says that. He means it. They are many deaths and people of witness to his cruelty upon such words. Hardly amongst the innocent, which all made it fair and okay. Ridiculous I say. Dayne now pressed my against a tree, his hands tight around me as he pulled my neck to this lips. He purposely- inhaled my scent; creeping me out in a way that made me push him away with force and confusion; I quickly bend to grab a stick, quickly finding one. "Dayne! Please..please I had no choice!" I yelled in a whisper as I kept him away with the stick. "Put it down Tahlia. Give me what you promised." He chuckles in victory and I back away. The brittle foliage breaks beneath my bare feet as I watch Dayne steps closer and closer. His eyes demanding more of what isn't his. "I..can't. I won't dare." I whispered and he stops. "Must I remind you...Princess; that your life is hanging by a thread...a f*****g thread. You had no choice you say? You never should have ringed me sweetheart. Now im going to claim everything that is his and you'll be the puzzle piece to it all." "why do you hate Issac so much!?" I almost let out a tear but Dayne storms towards me and I dash off in a hurry. I threw the stick at him before I do, however that only made him pursue me even faster. Harder. I could hardly keep up with my thoughts the way my short legs dashed through the coated forest. My pants were loud and my heart throbbed a deafening sound; and then the expected happen- i tripped. And as I did, seconds before I could get back up, a hand grabs my leg and drags me back. In pain but scared out of my life, I continued to fight my way out. In seconds Dayne hand my hands pinned over my head with one arm. How slow could I have been for him to get his blouse off between chasing me and keeping his footing. To have caught me so easy. He slides between my exposed thighs, leaning over me while his next hand grabs my dirt stained face. A tear rolls down my eyes as I felt him against me- Clearly not intentionally. He grips my throat harder and I feel a throb somewhere I had deep feelings to disagreed with. "Please-" "Shhh...Tahlia. I'm not doing anything." He whispers but his hand now runs down my chest. I felt his finger circle around my n****e. "Dayne..Dayne! Okay...let us drown in debt. If- if thats what it takes to make you happy. Watch us- watch us fall. Okay..okay? please? I- I just can't betray my husband-" I now cried and he smiles, as if satisfied with my reaction. He pulls me up, his lips inches from mine while he hovers over, I rest back upon my hands hoping to keep the distance but he doesnt let it. The more he pulls in, the harder it is for me to breathe. "Then so be it." He whispers as his lips graze mines as he move but only briefly, for a second and he gets up. He extend his hand for mines and I hesitantly let him. He pulls me up gracefully and dust me of the debris. I silently watched. Did I really chose 3 million in debt, over...promising a man a single kiss? Because that's all he wanted. A kiss that should mean nothing. However, only God knows my hidden secrets.
