She was fine. She was okay. For some reason, I thought that he had injured her, and I was going to have to live with the guilt for the rest of my life, so when I saw her, I happily stood up and walked over to welcome her inside.
"Denise?!" She was with handsome Jack. While this was not unexpected, he was my boss basically so I really felt awkward about it. "Denise, are you okay? I'm really sorry about what happened."
