Chapter 3

“What is this thing, about the Brotherhood.” Luna asked Fenrir. “That creature keeps asking me,” Fenrir said sighing deeply. “I told it that I didn’t know anything about it.” “Why is he convinced you do then?” Luna asked. “I believe it is because he might have had some sort of infiltrator in my kind.” Fenrir said. “We had a legend of a Brotherhood that was formed, it was made to fight the great serpent.” “As much as I hate to admit sometimes those myths have turned out to have some semblance in truth.” Luna said. “For example, my kind once talked about Dragons, that had the ability to breath fire, poison, even lightning. They could fly in the sky and sometimes they looked like serpents.” “That sounds like the Altanin,” Fenrir said. “Yes, so you see my point.” Luna said. “The brotherhood was something that was taught to us by Lady Kyzl back when she was the high priestess of my world.” Fenrir said. “But that creature should know this and should know as much as I do.” “Why do you say that?” Luna asked. “Because that creature had a spy amongst us,” Fenrir said. “He had someone among us that I thought to be my friend, someone that was close to me as a brother. Someone who summoned the creature to us.” Meanwhile Da’mon walked through the forest, stopped and looked around. I was not far away, I had grabbed Walker and put my hand around his mouth. I was behind a large boulder that I managed to jump to as I had heard the familiar rattle of Da’mon approach. I poked my head out and watched Da’Mon mumble something under his breath that sounded like. “Hearing things…” Da’Mon mumbled to himself. Da’Mon continued down the forest. I came out of my hiding spot and looked out. I didn’t know what it was, but Da’Mon did not look like 4 years had passed since the last time I had seen him. No, the contrary he looked younger than he had when I had last seen him. It was then I realized what Hanuman had meant. I was not when I thought I was. There was no way for me to be able to tell when I was though, however, I did feel that I needed to find Da’Mon. Despite the i***t of Hanuman being ever irritating, I had this suspicion that he wanted me to follow Da’Mon. Da’Mon was the Chief Medical Beghrest of our tribe, he was also my father’s oldest and dearest friends, they were like brothers, in fact I grew up understanding that Da’Mon was as close to an uncle that I could have. “Do you know him?” Walker whispered. I only nodded. I motioned him to follow me and I followed Da’Mon. Being back in the Bel’Hatore forest was a strange sensation to me. It was not like when I had seen a façade back in those challenges or whatever they were of Damus a couple of years ago back on Golordia Rho. No this was different. I knew that this WAS the Bel’Hatore forest, not a façade not some sort of test that Hanuman was showing me. Then again it could be some sort of test. Hanuman did say that I did not know why the lizard had come to my planet. Such a statement was of course ludicrous I knew full well why the creature had come. He had come for the medallion that was still in my possession. I knew that Hanuman said if that was the case why did he just leave it, but I felt that I this was because he was biding his time. Be that as it may there had to be a reason why Hanuman had brought him here, to whatever time this was. Whatever it was I had a feeling Da’Mon had something to do with it. So, I followed him. Da’Mon continued his walk. I could not tell where he was going. It was far away from any part of the Bel’Hatore forest that I had seen or been to. It was deeper and deeper into parts that I had only heard of. Eventually, he stopped and pulled something out of his satchel. He raised whatever it was from the satchel and tossed it to the ground in front of him. Da’Mon looked around one last time before he spoke to whatever was sitting on the floor. “You were right it seems.” Da’Mon said to the thing on the floor. “Methuselah’s bloodline runs rampant upon this land. I managed to trace it to the bloodline of Kyzl, a long dead Head Priestess of these creatures.” “Who is he talking to?” Walker whispered. I put my hand to his mouth and looked as Da’Mon looked around. “You need to trust me more,” a voice called from somewhere, that grabbed Da’Mon’s attention. Da’Mon turned back to the thing on the floor and smirked. “No offense but since the fiasco with the Tiara of Time…” Da’Mon said. “I told you the interference you would face,” the voice said. Tiara of time? I wondered about that. I had no idea what that could have meant. If anything, it was probably some sort of thing that belonged to the Star Builders, but that meant that Da’Mon knew about it. This fact along was quite the revelation. However, when I thought I had solved something. I suddenly had ten more questions. How did Da’Mon know about the existence of the Star Builders? How long did he know it? More importantly who the hell was he talking to. “Did you find the other thing I asked of you?” the voice said. “Indeed,” Da’Mon said. “Turning on the Zerkalo Aaenna on this planet should be simple.” “Zerkalo Aaenna!” Walker managed to stutter. I looked at him watching his face turn white. “What is…” I started to ask but I heard the voice of whoever Da’Mon was talking to suddenly spoke again. “Good, once open our plans will be in motion, Hunraken.” The voice said. My mouth gaped. “What?” I managed to mutter under my breath. “Now, tell me have you found that thing that that race calls Brotherhood?” the voice called out and then I was even more aghast that I had been before. Projected in the air in front of Da’Mon was none other than the Lizard.
