Chapter 5

Andromeda did not want to just go up and ask Adam Live about someone that Hanuman told her about. It would look suspicious. However, Andromeda was wondering if she could get the information somehow, perhaps one of Adam’s henchmen. The idea sounded crazy to her when she thought about it, however the more she thought about it the more she was thinking that there had to be something. Andromeda was about to run her hand through her head but as she tried she saw her hand seemingly have more of the same dark scales that she was now having all over her body and not only that but her nails were turning to an almost black color. Andromeda felt weird about it for a moment or two before she was distracted by her bumping into someone. Andromeda looked up and froze. She had bumped into one of Adam Live’s cronies. The most peculiar of Adam Live’s cronies. Unlike the other Altanin this one didn’t wear a silver suit. He just wore these large tanks on his back with whatever gas the others breathed. Andromeda began to freak out because she was not in her Luna get up, and what was this crony doing here? “Greetings,” the creature said looking down at Andromeda. Maybe Andromeda had changed enough that the creature didn’t recognize her? Or maybe this creature was friendly? Andromeda was not sure. “You’re the one they call Archimedes,” Andromeda said suddenly recognizing this creature. Archimedes Doink was what they called him. Andromeda had heard that this creature was quite the character. He did not wear the body suit like others, he did not treat everyone like dirt, and he did not act like he was superior to everyone in the universe. He was a conundrum to his kind. “Indeed, I am,” Archimedes said giving this, unusual for his kind, boastful laugh. “And to whom do I owe the great pleasure of meeting young lady?” “Alinam,” Andromeda said thinking quickly. Andromeda knew that most of these lizard creatures named themselves after some defining feature of theirs. For example, Archimedes apparently was so named because he was in a long line of apparent geniuses and Archimedes was a name of apparent geniuses. Andromeda chose Alinam, due to her having gone by that name before years ago when she had been captured by the Altanim, they called her that because of her sapphire colored eyes. “I see, quite the beautiful name,” the creature chuckled. What is wrong with this creature? Andromeda wondered. But Andromeda had thanked her lucky stars. She had gone wandering off thinking about what Hanuman had been talking about and somehow found her way to somewhere that this creature was hanging out. “Why are you so far away from your people?” Andromeda asked. “Oh?” the creature said he scratched his head then he ducked down and whispered, “To be honest Ms. Alinam. I am checking on Lady Aras.” “Oh,” Andromeda said. “Don’t worry,” the creature laughed, and he winked at Andromeda. “Your secret is safe with me.” “Well that’s good.” Andromeda said. “Also, Hanuman told me to come find you,” the creature shrugged. “You know Hanuman?” Andromeda said. “I am originally from Aldibah,” the creature said. “When young master took over after his father, we were ones who did not right away concede to his rule. Hanuman knew this and he’s had me keeping an eye on the young master.” “He also told me that I needed to bring you over to Selena,” The creature said. “Come now follow me.” Andromeda was confused about what she had just learned but she decided to follow the creature, something about him reminded her of that nice creature that was taking care of her when she was younger back in the Cradle back on her planet. Meanwhile “When did you bring us now?” I asked Hanuman. “Hey, you suggested you should ask Kyzl,” Hanuman shrugged. “You brought us that far back?!” I said. “Calm down Zamas,” Hanuman said, but before I could ask him what the hell, he was talking about, but he cut me off. “I was not being literal I can’t be having you interfere with the timeline I already learned the lesson from your past forms.” “What in the hell are you talking about now,” I asked. “Never mind that,” Hanuman said. “Stand back and don’t interfere.” It was the first time I had the opportunity to stand back and look around at my environment. I looked around and saw we were in some magnificent building. I did not recognize it at all. I did not have too much time to take it all in because when I started looking around, I noticed this door and suddenly it flung open. “I knew you would be here,” a man said walking into the room. I froze thinking he was talking to me, but he was not he was looking ahead and Hanuman was simply sitting there perched on what looked like a throne. Hanuman just waved. “My father has no right sending you to search for me,” the man said. This man looked peculiar. He had platinum hair, and eyes. He was a hairless creature much like Walker’s race, but he was lighter. He also seemed to be more perfectly synchronized…I didn’t know how to explain it. It looked like if you cut this man vertically in half each half would be the same. “True,” Hanuman said. “But I am not here because of your father.” “Then why are you here?” the man asked. “I have a vague idea of what you are trying to do, Methuselah,” Hanuman said. “But what do I know, I’m only an omniscient being that is a servant to Lord Rama, and the one responsible for destinies.” “That’s Methuselah?” I asked and Walker shrugged. “No offense but I was thinking he was going to be someone a bit more…” “Heroic?” Walker said. “No…if he had all these females throwing themselves at him…” I said. “I would have thought he was a lot more glorious or something.” “How did you find me?” Methuselah asked. “Well you kind of left a trail of…kids…” Hanuman said. “I mean I get being on the run but seriously…and you are trying to sack that priestess here?” “You are not my keeper Hanuman,” Methuselah said. “It matters not my involvement with anyone that I may encounter.” “I guess that’s true,” Hanuman said. Hanuman simply disappeared but he reappeared next to me. Hanuman put his finger to his mouth signaling to be quiet. He then pointed out and I looked out at that door where Methuselah came through. In walked none other than Lacia D’Opidium. “Lacia?!” I said. “Wrong,” Hanuman whispered. “Huh?” I said looking back at the female. It looked just like her. “That my friend is Kyzl.” Hanuman said. “Kyzl?” I said looking back. “But she looks just like Lacia.” “Well…Lacia wouldn’t be her descendant for nothing.” Hanuman shrugged. I looked back at the female. Truly she indeed looked almost exactly like Lacia. Except she was wearing the general priestess get up that I had seen in murals before. It was complete with a white blouse, red pants and a strange looking staff that had a ring on the top that had several other rings hanging from it. “Were you talking to someone?” Kyzl said looking around clearly not seeing anyone although we were here. “Just an annoying old friend,” Methuselah said. “Aww…” Hanuman faked a tear and sniffed. “Never mind that,” Methuselah said. “There was something I wanted to make sure was safe.” Just then Methuselah pulled out something that I had never seen before, it looked like a small heart. “There you go,” Hanuman said. “What is that?” I asked him. “That my friend is what your kind calls the Brotherhood.” Hanuman said. “I knew the i***t gave Kyzl.” “But what is it?” I asked. My voice had echoed Kyzl asking this. “Call it a drop from the tree of life,” Methuselah said. “Without this Shiva would be unable to destroy all universes.” My jaw dropped.
