Chapter 17

“You?” I said shocked. “Marx’s daughter?!” “Is there a problem?” she asked. I sighed heavily I swear I heard Hanuman laughing his head off somewhere. I was really starting to wonder a bit more about myself. I mean at least with the other girls I met recently, I knew that they were Beghrest, but with Sara here, she was an actual furless female. An extremely attractive furless female. Who also was the daughter of my master! I started hitting my forehead. I swear I can see Hanuman rolling around on the floor laughing somewhere. “Are you like losing it?” Sara asked. “I’m just frustrated of all the luck I can have.” I said. “What do you mean?” Sara asked. “Here I am, in whatever the f**k this place is.” I said motioning around. “Being accused of turning my race over to the lizard, and mating with a female lizard no less! You have my satchel that has that godforsaken amulet that the f*****g lizard himself wanted for whatever reason. And I have kept it away from him, and now here you are an extremely beautiful and breath-takingly gorgeous girl talking to me, and you are my master’s daughter!” “You really think I am that beautiful?” she asked turning redder when she said it. “Damn right I do,” I said I started hitting my head again. “Of all the things, seriously, like this is worse than the time the vision of the lizard came out in that temple of Damus. Now everyone and their mother thinks I groveled at the feet of this creature.” “I guess we will see what Lady Bai says about you.” Sara said. “Lady Bai?!” I asked. For some reason that name sounded familiar. “You say that as if you know her,” Sara said. “Would I know her?” I asked. “I don’t know,” Sara shrugged. “Is she the Tribe Chief Mistress?” I asked. “We’ll I guess she will explain that to you.” Sara said. “Come on.” She opened the door to this strange place. I wondered about this Lady Bai. I felt that somehow, I knew that name. I was thinking of the names of the White Wolves that I knew. I only knew of a few, well at least the names of a few. Lady Bai was not one of them though. Maybe the name of another Chief Mistress? I thought of that for a while. I remember there were other tribes that existed outside of the Bel’athore Forest. I remember that Lacia and I were heading towards one of those areas. Mount Jenqish was a highly populated area. The lake where we had gotten that accursed medallion was en route to this territory. It was a highly populated area, I do not remember the name of the Supreme Chief of that area, I did not think it was Lady Bai though. We walked on for what seemed like forever until we were outside and my mouth gaped. It was a ship. A HUGE black ship. It was just floating there in the middle of the sky in front of us. It was then I realized we were no where near where we had been before. “What in the world?” I said. This had to be the biggest damn thing I had ever seen. It was bigger than any other of those ships I had seen. Bigger than any building, hell it was bigger than any damn mountain! I looked at this black ship just floating in the middle of the air and I was truing to figure it out. Why was this ship there? It did not look like any of the ships I had seen that belonged to the lizard, no this one was different. Though it was black, this ship did not seem ominous. It was covered completely in this black metal that reminded me of the gates back on Saffar, in that place of the Shades that I had seen. Now that I thought about it, I remembered how those gates had stretched into like forever this ship dwarfed those gates. “Where did this ship come from?” I asked. “Huh?” Sara asked. “The ship,” I said pointing at it. “You have never seen it before?” Sara asked. “No,” I said. “Should I have?” “If you are Behemet you should know about this,” Sara said. “What do you mean?” I asked. “It came from your planet,” Sara said. “I’ll MURDER HIM!” I growled at the idea of Hanuman knowing this, this whole time and never said anything about it. You never asked. I even heard his damn voice say that in my head. “Woah slow your roll there,” Sara said. “You mean to tell me this ship was on MY planet?” I asked. “Yeah,” Sara said. “That was how your race escaped from the Lizard.” “WHAT!?” I said. I made a mental note to find out how to kill Hanuman and then Kill him. And if he was immortal, somehow get rid of the immortality and then kill him. “Why was it on my planet?” I asked. “Don’t look at me, I am not from your planet.” Sara said. It was then that I saw this massive spider looking emblem on the side of the ship. I knew right away what that meant. This ship had something to do with Damus. Why was it here now? Why was it on my world? I was looking at it trying to figure out where this thing could have been. Maybe in Lake Ysyk itself? But wait a minute that meant that both Methuselah and Damus had been on my planet. That left a lingering question in my mind. Why? I thought about that for a moment as we walked up to this thing. I could not think of this thing fitting inside of lake Ysyk, lake Ysyk was miles and miles long but this thing fitting inside the lake? Maybe, that would be possible perhaps? I was not sure. Soon enough we were not far from the massive ship and as we got closer, I noticed that there was this weird light moving around as we were getting closer. The light was…strange…it looked like it was a regular light but yet it looked like it was…solid…I guess would be the correct word. Soon the damn light shone at us…and the next thing I knew I was standing in front of what looked like some sort of throne room. Or at least I thought it was. Before I could react someone hit me in my shins and I fell to my knees. “Bow before Lady Bai,” I heard Erika say. I looked up from where I fell forward and saw a woman sitting on this…throne…I guess you could call it. She was remarkably pretty for what was an apparent furless creature. She was wearing a long white gown, with this intricate sash draped over her shoulders down her legs. It was mostly yellow and red but there were parts of green and blue. There was a handmaiden that was next to her that whispered to her as I looked up at her. The handmaiden looked significantly younger than the woman sitting on the throne. Now don’t get me wrong the woman didn’t look too old, but she was indeed older than anyone I had seen so far. Older than Sara, Erika and Bordy. This younger woman looked like she could have been around the same age as the girls I had seen so far. “Funny, Zhaow-Zhann he does not look like he could be the son of Alqamar. The one who betrayed us to the dragons.” Lady Bai said. Oh, hell now I was starting to remember how I was supposed to act around another supreme chief. She had to be at least that. My father’s lessons from years earlier was sort of hazy to say the least, but I knew I had to do something before I offended someone. “My Lady,” I said bowing my head a bit. “My name is Behemet De Gris, son of Supreme Chief Alqamar De Gris but I believe I am not the Behemet that you may know.” “No, you seem a bit more pleasant than Behemet the Dragon bringer.” Lady Bai said and the hand maiden whispered something to her. “Zhaow, was suggesting that maybe you are the offspring of Behemet, it is so like him to have named a child after himself.” “If I may my lady I can explain,” I said. “Hand me the medallion,” Lady Bai said ignoring what I said. Sara grabbed my satchel and brought it up to that Zhaow girl and he grabbed it from her. Zhaow walked up to Lady Bai unfurling the satchel, she bowed and offered the medallion to Lady Bai. “So, it is true, you do have the Raisea Ruh.” Lady Bai said.
