Chapter 15

Andromeda Myers heard the window knock by her. She nearly jumped but looked at the window and saw a familiar face…or rather…helmet. It was the helmet that she knew belonged to Eva Silver. Andromeda walked over to the window and opened it, after making sure there was no one else around. “Eva what are you doing here?” Andromeda whispered. “I found out where Xyz is,” Eva said. The way she said it was Ex-zeee the name made Andromeda shiver. She knew who Eva was talking about. “Where? I thought he was on Asgard,” Andromeda said. Eva handed Andromeda the same news report that Walker had been reading earlier to Behemet. Andromeda read it over and looked up at Eva. “What the hell is he doing in that tournament?” Andromeda said. “I don’t know,” Eva said. “But I think you need to somehow make it to that tournament.” “Make it to the tournament?!” Andromeda asked and Eva nodded. “There’s no way, Adam Live knows who I am he will be privy on me sneaking off like that.” “Wait what?” Eva said sounding shocked. Andromeda quickly explained what she had learned over the past few days. “So, the fucker knows who you were all this time?” Eva said. “Unfortunately,” Andromeda said. “How the hell did he know that?” Eva asked. “I haven’t figured that out yet.” Andromeda said. “He is getting more and more powerful everyday Andy,” Eva said. “We need to step it up and make sure the fucker does not do something insane.” “It’s a bit late to do that I think,” Andromeda said. “You do not need to be so somber,” Eva said. “He already knows who I am Eva, there is very little I can do.” Andromeda said. Eva looked like she was going to protest but Andromeda motioned her had up towards her. “It does not mean I will try to do something.” “So, you will come?” Eva asked. “If Xyz is really here then that means that he must be working with Aries and the others.” Andromeda said. “And that means he is even more dangerous here than he ever was back in the cradle.” Andromeda dreaded saying that word again. The Cradle, she would never forget that god forsaken place. On her universe, the Altanim had taken over most of the known cosmos, and created these diabolical things called the Cradle, on all the planets. Their purpose was to mold the children and adolescents under the history that the Altanim wanted you to learn and know about. It was all propaganda, tooting the horns of the Altanim. Claiming that in evolution the ultimate species was the lizard. As the lizard was predatorial in all levels of life in all circumstances and situations. As the ultimate species all other species were beneath them, and should be enslaved, when it was deemed fit or eradicated (more often than not). At the Cradle that she and Eva lived in, this Creature calling himself Xyz tortured and terrorized them for years. Andromeda remembered that Xyz specifically liked a female named Dragna, Andromeda never knew what sort of female she was as she only spoke to Dragna when she brought her food and promised Dragna that she would free her of the prison. Andromeda absent mindedly touched a necklace that Dragna had given her. A token of their friendship and showing that they will one day be set free. “Woah…you’re…you’re changing back,” Eva said pointing at her hand. Andromeda woke back out of her reverie and hid her hand. “It’s nothing,” Andromeda said. “Nothing my ass Andy,” Eva said. “I remember when you looked like them when we were in the Cradle. Lord knows what they had done to you to make you look like that and now your changing back? What prompted that?” “I….” Andromeda started then she sighed heavily. “I am not sure.” “You have an idea it seems like,” Eva said. “There is a young girl of their race, that Adam Live has had me taken care of.” Andromeda said. “What the f**k?” Eva said and Andromeda put her hadn’t up to calm her down. “Why in the s**t did you agree to do that?” “Have you heard of the peoples of Aldibah?” Andromeda said. “Aldibah?” Eva asked. “Isn’t that in their system though, well where they started from, I mean.” Andromeda nodded. In all reality no one really knew where the Altanin came from. They were just called the Alanin because of legends that spoke of dragons that came from the sky spewing fire. The only thing that people knew about their origin was that they started showing up in the constellation of the dragon. That did not even mean that they had originated there. Aldibah was one of the 15 stars in the constellation of the Dragon that the Altanin controlled for countless eons by the Royal Family known as the Cherapakah. There had been 21 rulers of the Cherapakah dynasty to date. The last one De’vantee Cherapakah was for some reason or another jokingly called Turtle 20. Andromeda had heard that this was because the word Cherapakah literally translated to Tortoise or Turtle, and De’Vantee was literally meaning the 20th. So, his name literally meant the “Twentieth Turtle.” It was the twenty-first ruler that had changed everything. Tenshi Cherapakah was his name. From what Andromeda had learned his named meant the Angelic Tortoise, or even the All Mighty Tortoise. This Cherapakah was not like his 20 predecessors. Though the Cherapakah were not the friendliest of dynasties they were nothing compared to Tenshi. Tenshi was the one who became hell bent on universal dominance. Something that his predecessors also desired, but where his predecessors tried through means of conquering and slowly turning the people in their favor. Tenshi’s rule became increasingly insidious. Andromeda was a young girl when Tenshi’s elite soldiers had arrived on her planet. For whatever reason Tenshi, though he was the prince had more power than his father and began to use it for his advantage to instill his dominance over the cosmos. Universe after universe, Tenshi ruined every universe through means that were unknown to many a people. However, there was one thing that the Altanim and specifically Tenshi was not expecting from his own kind. The people of a planet called Aldibah did not accept his rule. Though Tenshi was furious at this display of mutiny in his eyes, he did not act because the Aldibah had the biggest reserve of a highly unstable element known as Alitanium 10. Everything in the Altanin, was based on Alitanium 10. In fact, their currency drove on this as many other planets currency drove on reserve of some precious metals. It came at a cost though. Altanium was extremely unstable. So unstable in fact that one needed to keep it frozen in order to work with it at all. Andromeda remembered that young girl named something like Kayla, that had been given these weird spider-like metal arms that were comprised of this frozen metal. One thing was bothering Andromeda most of all. There was something going on that was above a lot of people’s heads and she knew it. Something sinister was a foot. And she felt that soon it will all go to a head. “Fine, I’ll go to the tournament.” Andromeda said.
