“BRING HIM HERE,” LEAH asked Josh and crossed her hands on the desk.
Her blue-green eyes shot lightning bolts and Mark didn’t dare to interrupt her thoughts.
Since the legal counsel showed for the three suspects, Leah had hurled them all into a whirlwind of activity. She wanted to know how the counselor received word to come because the three men had declined counsel right from the beginning.
As they had arrested them in the apartment they shared and no one was the wiser, the only explanation Leah could accept was that someone in the squad room had leaked the word outside.
She asked the officers to verify all the calls made on the floor and cross-reference them with all the people they had on the suspect list.
