“Look this way now, girls,” Cynthia says, drawing our attention to a meter-wide rectangle of red light projected against the white wall below the rose window. No - not a projection. It’s some sort of thin TV screen discreetly set into the wall. At first I can’t make out what I’m meant to be seeing, and then the picture gradually comes into focus. Seven small terrified faces stare out from the rectangle of red light - my own face amongst them. I lift my hand to wave it in the air above my head, confirming my suspicions.
