I spend the rest of the morning and the afternoon learning the Tango, the Salsa and the Bossa Nova in the dance studio with my instructor, while next door Svetlana practices the Viennese Waltz and the Foxtrot. Luckily, I’m not a total novice - I took modern dancing lessons from the time I was seven, until I gave it up at age thirteen. I’m no Ginger Rogers, but my sense of rhythm and my ability to remember and recall the steps after a quick demo are definitely coming in handy.
