~Javier’s POV~
I stepped outside to take a big breath. I poured myself a glass of vodka and stepped out onto the balcony to take in the fresh air. I remind myself of why I bore a weight for so long. I burst out laughing. I felt the same way about not saying anything to the person I wanted to protect and not harm. He had been avoiding me all this time because he didn’t want to harm me. To be honest, I expected my friend to turn on me one of these days. But, after all these years, he proved me incorrect. He was still my friend, but because of Sandra, I never told him anything about my personal life. As I heard footsteps coming, I turned. It was Ethan. He was also clutching a tumbler of vodka. He sighed as he stood close to me, inhaling in the same air as me.
“Are you upset with me?”
