I was dragged before the pack's council, my wrists bound by thick ropes that dug into my skin. The council members glared at me with unbridled anger, their faces twisted in snarls. "Killer!" one of them spat, the word dripping with venom. "You'll pay for what you've done!"
"Treacherous b***h!" another council member growled, baring his teeth.
The room erupted into chaos, with pack members shouting and snarling like wild animals. Marcus, the pack's beta, struggled to maintain order, his voice booming above the din. "Enough!" he bellowed. "We'll begin her trial, and then we'll decide her fate."
But the pack members were unforgiving, their thirst for revenge consuming them. "No mercy!" they chanted, their voices rising to a fever pitch. "Kill her! Kill her!"
