I sat in my quarters, my mind racing with thoughts of Sera's proposal. I had turned her down, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that I could've made a powerful ally. As I poured myself a glass of whiskey, my eyes narrowed as I thought about Sera's words. "We could be great allies," she had said, but at what cost?
