April's POV
I felt a wave of panic wash over me, and I collapsed to the floor, my wolf hands trembling in front of me. I couldn't look away, couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Just as I was trying to process what was happening, I heard the door burst open. "April, what's wrong?" Luciana's voice was laced with concern.
I shook my head, trying to hide my trembling hands behind my back. "I-I just slipped," I stammered, trying to sound nonchalant.
Luciana's eyes narrowed, her gaze flicking to my hidden hands. "Slipped?" she repeated, her tone skeptical.
I nodded, trying to maintain the charade. "Yeah, I just lost my balance."
Luciana's expression softened, but her eyes still held a hint of suspicion. "Okay, well, let me run you a bath. You can relax and calm down."
I nodded gratefully
