Chapter 2

"I liked my job. I was not completely unaware of the circumstances. I possessed the requisite competencies. And despite the fact that Neil and I did not have a particularly deep connection to any one item, we did have a lot of things in common with one another. "Naming just one." "I—We had a good time eating at a restaurant." "That is not the sort of thing that piques my interest. This demonstrates that both you and your partner were too fatigued to make the meal that you had planned. We both enjoyed reading for our own personal enjoyment. "Wow, after what took happening, the bedroom must have been a very interesting place to be," the speaker says. Stella made a valiant effort to come up with something different, but she was ultimately unsuccessful. "Why are we talking about the sign of Leo right now? That endeavor is at this point over. My whole existence right now is centered on a young girl who is six years old, and I couldn't be happier about it. There is a pair of fairy wings in the bag that she is taking around with her. I don't even know what fairy wings are, let alone how they function. There had been no room in her life for something as delicate and easily damaged as fairy wings made of gossamer-thin fabric because her childhood had been a desolate wasteland, an exercise in endurance rather than progress, and there had been no room in her existence for either of those things. "I can recall quite specifically what it was like to be six years old. My entire life, I've imagined myself performing in the ballet. Stella focussed her attention on the roadway in front of her and reflected on the emotions she had experienced when she was six years old. Broken. She was aware that even after she had successfully pieced herself back together in the end, she was not the same person. Even though she had successfully pieced herself back together in the end. "I'm upset at Anna. Both the fact that she passed away and the fact that she caused me to be in this situation make me angry at her. That is a total and utter disaster waiting to happen! "It hasn't been screwed up in the least. It's a real live person! Stella, what exactly are you looking forward to here? You haven't had any contact with Anna in well over a decade, have you?" After Luna abruptly cut off their chat, Stella continued to hear voices in the background. "Do you have any visitors with you at the moment? Have I approached you at a particularly inconvenient moment? Thomas and I have been invited to attend a charity event at The Plaza, but Thomas is welcome to wait for me in the lobby of the hotel. Stella had her reservations about Richard's willingness to wait due to his ruthless political ambitions and his impatient nature. Stella believed that Richard would not be willing to wait. She had the impression that he would not be willing to hold off. She was able to picture Luna with her blonde hair twisted into an elegant bun on top of her head, and her slender body draped in a breathtaking piece of couture that had been designed by a fashion designer. She had a hunch that Thomas was attracted to Luna not because of her sunny optimism or her beauty, but rather because of the powerful connections that her family possessed. Thomas seemed to be particularly interested in her family. "I really shouldn't have bothered to call you in the first place. I called Brittany, but she did not pick up when I called her. I tried to get in touch with her. She is currently on the island of Crete conducting an archaeological dig, but she has not yet returned home. If you're reading this at this hour, it must be the middle of the night where you are. It would appear that she is having a lot of fun right now. Did you see her f*******: update? She is covered in filth up to her elbows and can frequently be found in the arms of attractive Dolgan men. She is working with Lily, the lovely ceramics expert, who is the one who gave me all of those ideas for my most recent collection. She is one of the people she is collaborating with for this collection. And had you not called me, I would have made it a point to get in touch with you. I've been so worried. You had no choice but to leave your job after Loe ended things with you, and now this has transpired as a result. It is commonly believed that the number three is the key to difficulty. Stella turned her head to check on the child, who appeared to be sleeping well despite being in the moving vehicle. "I really, truly wish the third thing had been a broken toaster," the speaker said. "I am aware that you are going through a challenging time at the moment, but you have to bear in mind that everything takes place for a purposeful cause. You can't just stay in bed all day and eat cereal out of the box like you used to be able to do because of this. You lacked a focal point previously, but you now have one. I did not require the assistance of a young girl who was six years old and donned fairy wings when she played dress-up. "Wait a minute—" After a moment of silence, there was a brief pause, after which the sound of someone shutting a door could be heard. "I don't want those folks listening in while Thomas is having a talk with his campaign manager," the narrator says. I need to get away from you, so I'm going to hide in here. Things that I do for my friends because I care about them and want to see them happy. "Stella, do you happen to be there?" "Which way do you recommend that I go? I'm surrounded on all sides by water, and I can't get out." In retaliation, she shook slightly. "There is no way out for me." "Honey, if you want to be 'stuck' on Kiribati Island, folks will pay a hefty price for the opportunity to do so," these individuals will tell you. The response she gave was, "I'm not one of them." What would you say to me, Luna, if it turned out that I was unable to protect her? There was a little silence in the middle of the discourse. When we talk about being safe, are we referring to being safe from the media, or are we talking about being protected from other things? It appeared as though she had a dry mouth. "Everything in its entirety. I will not accept the blame that is placed on my shoulders. I have decided against having children. She responded by saying that it was because "you're afraid to share anything of yourself." "I understand." It was a waste of time to argue with the truth because its validity had already been demonstrated. "That's the reason why Leo put a stop to it," the speaker says. He claimed that the fact that he had to interact with a robot was driving him crazy. I'm going to venture a guess and say that he utilized his own antennae to arrive at that conclusion. Bastard. Do you feel as though your heart has been broken? “No. I don't get choked up as easily as you and Sophie do when I hear sad stories. I don't feel deeply." Do you not think it is appropriate for her to feel something, given the circumstances? The unfortunate truth was that she had lived with a man for the past two years, but she did not feel any closer to him than she did on the day that they had first met. This was despite the fact that they had shared a home together. She was resolute in her goal to avoid being one of those individuals whose lives were destroyed by love. Following the event, she gave birth to a child. "What leads you to believe that Anna is responsible for what happened?"
