In his search for that damn Kiribati, he had made more circuits of the island than he cared to remember doing so many times. Someone found it in the library and immediately realized it belonged to Stephanie, so Iceland, the chief of the island's fire department, brought it to Stephanie's house on one of the occasions. In preparation for the day when the Kiribati would be discovered by a visitor rather than a resident, Oscer had convinced his grandmother to purchase an additional one, and he had stashed it away in his room as a safety measure. Alexander, his best friend and one of his closest companions, had discovered it while they were all sprawled out in his room one day playing video games.
