Tasuki let his eyes slide closed and his body began to fall to the ground a good fifty feet below. The influx of power surging through his body had been too much. Tasuki didn’t feel the arms that caught him in mid-fall.
Tama looked down at Tasuki as he descended to the ground. He’d followed Tasuki across the vast property back to the house, arriving just in time to see the guardian’s death at Tasuki’s hands. When the last guardian vanished, Tama had remained levitated outside the window watching Tasuki take in the remaining power. He had instinctively backed away just in time to avoid the explosion.
Tama shivered slightly at Tasuki’s appearance when the dust settled. His hair moved around his face like a dark halo and when his eyes opened, they were glowing silver, brighter than the sun.
