CHAPTER SEVENTY “You made me the happiest man alive today,” he whispered against my ear, his hand on my lower back as we moved to the rhythm of the slow music. Elisa had long left after catching the attention of a man that easily reminded me of Nick Bateman.    A blush crept up my cheeks,” I’m sad it took me this long to realize that,”   “Still worth the wait. Trust me, I’m not going to screw this up,” he promised, spinning me expertly away from him before jerking me against his body.   “You better keep that promise Mister,” I whispered back.   Then he had gone right ahead and screwed it up. I was sitting on the couch in Elisa’s bedroom, a cup of hot coffee on my hands as I stared at the night beautiful night lights of the city while reminiscing over old memories of Ryan and I.
