Chapter 44

"Oh my God!"

That was what Naizen heard when he finally got home and that was his mother who yelled. He immediately ran fast towards the dining where his mom's voice came from.

"Where have you been?"

He stopped as he heard his father's voice from the side. He then looked at his father and still couldn't believe that the two of them finally in the same page. For so many years that they were fighting with each other, Harry's death made the two of them met in the same page.

"Hi dad," he greeted the old man and received a nodded from the light emotion his father has. It was never his father's usual emotion for he was always the emotionless Gonzalo Alvarez in the field of business. "I was meeting a friend. What happened in there? I heard mom yelled," he said and pointed the dining area.

"Come, look at yourself," his father answered and he was left alone. His eyes narrowed while looking at his father's back walking towards the dining.

He then followed the old man and there, he saw the happy Ellen, Leticia and his mother who seems to have the best information she just heard.

"Finally! You're home!"

"You are surprised to see me here? Ellen, don't forget that this is my home," he responded to Ellen's surprised reaction upon seeing him entered the dining table next to the old Alvarez.

His mom immediately stood up from the chair she was sitting in and succored to him. His eyes narrowed but when he saw how wide of a smile Leticia has in her face, he already got an idea of what are these people celebrating with this blue cake in the middle of the table.

"I guess, I knew it," he mumbled that made everyone smiled wider even more. He glances to Ellen and smiled, "it's a boy?" he asked excitedly like he was the father. That wasn't the issue of him being so happy knowing that the future Alvarez' baby was a boy. Harry always dreamt to have a son. He always dream to never end the Alvarez surname and having a baby with the woman he dearly love, Harry would be so much the happiest man alive.

"It's a boy," Leticia answered happily and handed him the ultrasound picture.

"Oh gosh! My brother was a dream catcher! What a sure man!" he said laughing while staring at the ultrasound picture that Leticia handed to him.

He heard the people around him laugh at his remarks and he suddenly heard the sobs that came from his mother. He looks at his mom with such narrowed eyes.

"Auntie, what's wrong?" Leticia concernedly asked his mother and even succored her.

"She just became a drama Queen now that she learned that she is having a boy in her first grandchild," his father answered and that made her mom sent a death glare to his father.

His dad who suddenly became a soft as marshmallow shrugged his shoulder and turned his back at them.

"What a old hag," he heard his mom mumbled that made the ladies laugh.

"Well, I kind off agree about uncle. Auntie, please stop sobbing, I couldn't but to imagine uncle passing away when he finally hear the baby's first cry," Ellen stated and laughed.

"What do you mean?" they were all excited to hear Ellen's explanation on how could she tell that his father would possibly pass out when the baby arrives.

"I was observing uncle Gonzalo when he was looking at the ultrasound picture. He was shaking like he would pass out anytime and when noticed that I was observing at him, he dropped the picture on the table and he left us here," Ellen explained and was laughing.

Luckily, they got it right. Ellen would never feel ashamed making fun with his parents for she grow up treating them her parents and they also treated her their youngest and their only daughter.

"Damn! That old man making fun of me!" his mom retaliates and he just laughed at them.

"Congratulations, Sia. I know Hary was looking and guiding you every steps of your pregnancy. He maybe physically absent but his presence and his guidance will always be with you," he said and hugged Leticia so tight.

"I still wish he was with me, that he would be able. To see and carry our baby with his arms. I know he would be be so much great of a father," Leticia said and tears immediately came out uninvited.

"Thank you for loving Harry, hija. Thank you for giving him the best memory he could have in this world," he heard his mom said and while the girls are having a heart to heart talk, Naizen stepped out from the dining and walk directly upstairs.

He emotionalessly stared at the nothingness from his terrace — his favorite place when he's in the dept part of his mind.

"I saw you changed the emotion when you stepped out from the dining."

He shut his eyes when he heard Ellen's voice from behind.

"Why would you showed up when I am in the moment of feeling being alone?" he asked her but he just heard her hissed.

"What's wrong?" Ellen asked like she knew something wasn't going right on him.

He looked at Ellen and was balancing if he wants to tell her what he has in his mind. Things are running in his mind and kind off bothering him a lot.

"Harry is having the son he dreamt to have," he mumbled and immediately shifted the thought she at first think of.

He sighed thinking what kind of life he would have after this decision he was making. He was so eager to join the force way back for he needs to give Harry the justice he deserves. He was fearless and wasn't thinking the possibility of going home alive. Harry was at his best when he went to the force. His body was conditioned and he can fight so good.

But he went home, lifeless. He never felt afraid with that fact. However, these past few days, all of a sudden, he was thinking nor he was struggling his own mind if he still wants to run after the freaking ABYSS and make sure that they couldn't and wouldn't have a chance of growing their stupid group.

"Leticia is going to take care of the little Harry. I am sure of that, plus she got us, we can help her," Elleb responded and smiled at him. He smirked and sighed deeply. "What is your plan about Yvonne?" she suddenly asked and the face of Yvonne immediately popped up in his mind.

"What?" he asked like he didn't understand what she really meant.

"Yvonne, what is your plan about her? Ar eyou going to let her stay in your house for good?" she again asked and waited the answer when she saw Naizen gulped and looking like he doesn't know what he has to answer.

"I won't kick her out of the house. I am certain that soon, she'll find a place for herself," he answered like he wasn't sure of what he just said.

"Do you like her?" Ellen suddenly asked that seems got him choke with his own saliva. "We both know that Yvonne has the beauty plus she was so attractive. If I were a man, I would surely fall with that beauty."

"Will you stop asking me that? We just saw Yvonne and we don't know anything about her," he answered.

He looked away as he responded Ellen do he won't get to see the teasing smile of Ellen. He used about this Ellen's attitude and he was certain that this woman won't leave him alone until he answer the question.

But what kind of answer she expected him to say? He doesn't even have his own answer of the f*cking question.

"If you say so," Ellen said and shrugged his shoulder. "I was just curious about you spending such amount to someone you said you didn't know anything. Naizen, I am not against of you spending your money in anywhere you want. I also want to be friend with Ellen for I think we could share the same atmosphere around each other. However, I just want to understand your plans about her, I couldn't sleep at night thinking that for the first time, you are in this state, Nice," Ellen stated while he, he was staring at the nothingness of the long and tall trees from a far.

"I don't want you and Hector to go back to the force. You should resign," he said that widened Ellen's eyes in shockness.

"Are you going to resign?" Ellen asked him back and he answered it with a sigh.

"No," he answered unsure.

"Then it's a no for me. Hector would surely say no as well," Ellen responded that made him look at the woman so serious.

"Listen, the second time we enter and join back to the force, the fight we are going to face will be different," he told her and that made Ellen narrowed her eyes in curiousity.

"How different? When we join there at first, it was because for Harry's justice. Now that the ABYSS leader was already captured, how is it become different for the second time? Why do you sound like the different you are talking about was something like really hard?" Ellen responded in continuous questions.

He always knew that Ellen was smart. She maybe like someone who would joke around but her understanding was so deep. She would understand the deepest meaning of the words you say.

How could he explain the point of his words? He couldn't tell Ellen yet the some things she had in mind.

"ABYSS, we may not have a specific day about when we are going to face them again and there was also a chance that, that was the last time we would be able to see them. Ellen, it was just the leader who are put behind bars, they can still work in progress with somebody take over the position," he explained trying to make his explanation longer and all.

"I was thinking the same thing almost everyday, Nice. I couldn't forget how they didn't stand back even with the fact that they don't have their leader with them anymore," Ellen stated.
