Chapter 2: Going Back Home After School

Class dismissed everyone gathered outside we will have a flag ceremony before everyone is going home. Have a good one student behave and stay safe going home. Don't forget your homework.
While we were in line I stayed most to the back area so I can escape from the crowd after the flag ceremony. As I start walking out my cousin Janet and my friend Juliet said let's go together. I said okie dokie, both of them looking at me amused and I said whattt... they ask me where I get that word.
I said nah it was my own just come out from me. We laugh and we start walking as fast as we can before it's get dark because I never liked walking to the forest mountain when it's dark. It's scared the heck out of me with all funny noise of animals at night.
As we walk through the river suddenly the path of the river in between rocks shift the other way. I said to my classmate and my cousin, did you see that? See what? the river shifted the other way. We look then it was the same again. Both of them told me nope river still looks the same. Then both of them just proceed walking like I didn't say anything.
So I keep my mouth shot and just talking to my mind that I really did see that.
That was really weird, I use to hear my grandma would talk about this river with huge rocks face to face together that we have to walk through in the middle to go through in the other end.
That there is a story behind on this place like some kind of mystery hmmmm....
By the way I stayed at my not so grandmother and my parents house back and fort so I can help my 71 year old grandma when she needed some work done. There is story on her on that too...ah what a life!
I snap out of myself when my cousin make a sound of her finger and said hello where did you got off too.
Me ahhhh... I was just thinking something, as we passed through in between the two huge rocks. Our neighbor Kathy was standing in the other end together with her friends and her cousins as well. I smell cat fight on this one, when I look on my right side.
My cousin Janet was mumbling something I don't understand what she was saying, and I ask what is going on? She told me her and Kathy are not in good terms and arguing on something. And I look at her oh my this is not good, so I said to my cousin you better just ignore her if she is trying to say something.
I'm glad my cousin listened to me while Kathy keep trying to get the best out of my cousin. She had no clue what is coming for her, kids kids they fight they argue and one loses then crying in the end. I was trying to avoid that not to offend on any kids. But if they step on my foot I won't back down either. Then it would be me they had no clue what's coming on them if they picked on me.
I might be just a kid but my mind think like an adult. I tried to do my best and realized what's right or wrong. Because when I grew up I don't want my own children will experience the same thing as me. I will teach them to be responsible, respect others, and learn what is right or wrong.
Geeezzz what in the world Am I thinking I'm only 6 years old thinking something like an adult teenagers. I snap out of myself again and yup we are almost home. My cousin bid goodbye to me since her road is the other way and so is my classmate. Ok see you tomorrow cousin Jan and my friend Jul.
That's the nicknames I called them.
As I'm approaching our home, I feel heavy in my gut again, because lot's dishes is waiting for me to clean up from all morning with my brothers and my parent, since I left school today. I'm the cook while my brothers are good for picking on me, we use bonfire to cook our food, since we never owned a stove, we pitch our water everyday, yeppp my routine everyday morning and afternoon.
