After staring at Nixie bleeding and not doing anything about it other than just opening and closing her eyes, I became convinced that she truly was a wolf and not human like the rest of us.
If not, it was totally impossible for her to be comfortable with pain and not do anything to shake out of it and I wondered what more could happen.
