I awoke from my slumber to the sound of someone humming from outside the room. I sat up slowly, rubbing the sleep from my eyes and letting out a loud yawn. As I padded my way over to the open door to the balcony, the humming became more clear, and I could almost make out a voice singing softly. I followed the eerie melody out into the chilly air of the mountain cavern, feeling as if I were in a dream. As my eyes adjusted to the dim lighting, I peered over the edge of the railing to find a woman tending to the garden far below. She was wearing a thin white dress, her silvery hair brushing the ground as she leaned down to cup a flower that had caught her attention. I was mesmerized by her.
