Prologue

223 Words
I held his hand firmly; he was also squeezing mine as if reassuring me that everything will be okay. His face looks like an angel with his eyes closed, in peace.  I know he doesn't deserve to be in pain. He doesn't deserve to be lying in this white bed. But I also know that the more I hold on to him – the more I hold into that hope that everything will go back to normal – the harder it is for him to be fully at peace.  I calmed myself and leaned in towards his face and said, "I love you, and I will always will. I'm okay now." After uttering those words, I saw the faintest smile from his face, and his hand fell. Tears wouldn't stop flowing down from my eyes.  He's finally free now. He's not in pain anymore.  He can rest now.  The nurse and doctors that came in announced his death. "The patient has expired. Time of death 12 midnight." _______________________________________________________________________________________ Hello, Luar here! I'm sorry for putting an Author's note here.
