Chapter forty nine

The Rescue

Yes, sir, one of us will be there. Bowing her head. As she closed the door.

We go in on the count of five. We have one hour. If you miss your target, we could get caught. “ Yes, Alpha,” they reply.

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Go!!!

We open the doors and shoot them all at the same time,

catching them before they even have a chance to hit the ground.

We exit the rooms quickly and quietly, looking like we were never there.

Make sure we have all the darts. “ Yes, Alpha,” make sure everyone is accounted for.

They won’t smell us because Sally already took care of that.

We make our way back to the main tunnel entrance.

Once we get there, Sally makes a portal and ports us all to the pack hospital.

Where Izzy and Dr. Welch were waiting for us.

I noticed Dale was holding one of the girls really close. I was about to say something to him when Izzy mind-links me.

“ Taylor, it’s his mate.”

Wow is all I could come up with. “i***t says, Ry,”

“ Wow, Ry, why don’t you tell me how you really feel?” I think I just did, as he blocks me.

Dr. Welch takes each of them to their rooms. He’s keeping them together like they were at the castle.

“

Hey, Doc, scan them for trackers. Before you do anything else. One of the girls has to report to Malcolm in thirty minutes.”

“Right away, Alpha,” I was surprised that none of them had trackers.

So that would mean they all had Alpha commands on them. What is wrong with this guy?

Izzy’s POV

The days went by slowly, but each day they seemed to be improving. Which makes me happy.

Dale has not left his mate’s side. Which I find cute.

I guess if I was in his place, I wouldn’t leave either.

I was happy that everyone came back safe. I had to laugh at our two warriors that came back on a commercial flight.

They had to fly first class to get back; that was the only seat available.

Taylor didn’t care as long as they were safe. He kept them in suspense until I told him to stop.

The look of relief on their faces when Taylor told them it was fine and he was just glad they were back safe.

We heard that Malcolm had a fit after finding out all of Pete’s family was missing.

He first thought it was the Red Moon pack, but they all informed him that it couldn’t have been them. Everyone was accounted for. They also had video showing everyone at the party.

Sally, Noah, Steve, and Dale left way before they started tracking the pack. So they are not an issue.

The men all lived in the pack house except for Noah and Sally.

Their house now looks like it was abandoned. Sally knew eventually it might cause a problem. So she fixed it before she left.

Pete’s wife and Pete

It’s been a week since we brought Pete’s family back. And we decided to wake the wife first.

Alpha Thomas wanted to be there when we started to wake them.

Dr. Welch explained to us how we are going to do this.

I pulled back on the dosage of medication we are using for them to sleep. I cut the wife’s completely, and hopefully, she will wake soon since I did it last night.

It should take about thirty minutes to an hour once I cut the medication off, if they have no complications.

I figured we could do Pete last. Let’s see how the wife goes first, before we decide.

It took about an hour before Pete’s wife began to wake up,

when she saw Thomas and me, her heart monitor went crazy.

Izzy walked over in a calming voice, telling her everything would be alright.

Mrs. If you look in the bed next to you, it’s your mate.

She gasped, covering her mouth, and tears flowed down her cheeks.

Mrs. We know you have been Alpha commanded. She shakes her head no. She motions that she needs water.

Thomas hands her a glass of water and moves back so he doesn’t scare her.

“

M..m.. mate bond,” she stutters out. We all look at each other.

“

That would make sense,” says Dr. Welch. “After so long apart, your wolf starts to go crazy.”

Pete’s wife shakes her head to confirm. Since Pete’s wolf was so weak, it took Pete longer.

So you’re saying since her woof went crazy or dormant, Malcolm wasn’t able to alpha command her? Exactly!!

“

Do you have a name?” A.Amelia she stutters.

“

Amelia, I am Alpha Taylor Diaz, and this is Alpha Thomas Hart. This is my Luna, Izzy. She looks at Izzy like she is seeing a ghost.”

And her heart monitor starts going crazy again. Izzy walks up and pats Amelia’s hand,

“Calm down, Amelia. Everything will be fine. I promise.” She looks at Izzy with a surprised look.

Amelia, this is Dr. Welch.

This is Izzy, the girl that Pete raised. We are only here to help. We do not plan on hurting anyone.”

We are hoping to save your family. The look of disbelief runs across her face.”

We will explain everything, but first, we need to know if your children are alpha commanded? Yes, their command is to do whatever Malcolm wanted them to do.”

Do they have names?” No, once they were born, he took them from me. Do they know who you are?

Yes, I was allowed to see them while they were young, but once they turned sixteen and got their wolves, I was no longer able to see them.”

Great, that makes this a little easier.”

I am sure you know their ages and when they were born,” says Thomas.

“

She shakes her head, yes.

Dr Welch? Yes, Alpha, let’s wake Pete. Yes, Alpha, he moves over to the machines and clicks a few buttons. Alpha, give him about an hour.

Amelia, would you like to sit with your mate?”

She shakes her head, yes. We get her a comfortable chair and set it next to his bed.

We help Amelia to the chair, where she grabs hold of Pete’s hand.

I pull Izzy back because I am not sure how Pete is going to react. It took about thirty minutes for Pete to begin to wake.

Amelia was talking to him sweetly. Pete looked over and started to cry.

He started to ramble things off. Taylor steps up, looks Pete straight in the eyes, and says, “ I Alpha Taylor Diaz command you to break all ties to Malcolm.”

Pete grabs his head in pain, screaming. Then goes limp on the bed. Pete had passed out. When Pete wakes, he has tears in his eyes.

A..A..A can I get a glass of water for him, please.

Dr Welch gives her a glass of water, where Amelia helps Pete to drink it. “ A..Amelia, yes, my love, it’s me.

H..how? I’m not sure you would have to ask them.”

He stares at Izzy,

Taylor steps in front of her. “ I’m Alpha Taylor Diaz, and this is Alpha Thomas Hart.”
