Chapter forty Seven

The party

We walk towards the pools, and I hear a growl. I see Jarred marching over towards us.

Mind linking Taylor, what is wrong with Jarred? He laughs. I think that your cousin is Jarred’s mate.

Oh…oh, laughing, this should be interesting.

Daisy is looking at Jarred like she is in disbelief. This can’t be happening, mumbles Daisy.

She turns around, runs to her car, and jumps in and drives off with Jarred standing there watching her drive away.

Taylor and I watched Jarred as he just stood there watching Daisy drive off. Well, now I wasn’t expecting that, I mumble to Taylor.

He just chuckles and pulls me closer to him. We both walk over to Jarred, and he turns around with tears in his eyes.

She left me. She just ran away.

Jarred? He looks at me with his puppy eyes. I wanted to laugh, but I feel so bad for him I couldn’t.

Jarred, that was my cousin Daisy, and her father is my uncle Thomas. Jarred’s mouth drops open. Your uncle Thomas as in Alpha Thomas, he mumbles.

Yes, that would be the one.

I can hear Jarred mumble this is going to be fun as he walks towards my uncle.

I giggle at Jarred, watching him go talk to my uncle.

Calling Daisy, hey girl, why did you leave like that?

I…I found my mate and I got scared and ran.

I giggle at my cousin.

Stop laughing, this is serious.

I know it is, but you really hurt Jarred.

I know, I know, but I got scared.

How about you turn around and come and actually meet your mate?

Do you think he still would want me?

I’m pretty sure he does. He went to talk to your father to try to find you, WHAT!! Yeah, you heard me.

So now turn that pretty b**t of yours around and come back. I will be waiting for you.

Alright, I will be right there.

I hang up and laugh.

Taylor walks up behind me, pulling me to him. Is your cousin okay? Yes, she’s on her way back now.

Good, I will go get Jarred. As he laughs, Jarred? Yes, Alpha, your mate is coming back. Try not to scare her off again.

Thomas starts laughing. Leave it to my daughter, he says.

He pats Jarred on his back and tells him to go get your mate, Tiger.

We all bust up laughing, while Jarred is left speechless.

Jarred walks over to me and asks if she really is coming back. Yes, she is; she is right there.

Why don’t you go and talk to her? She won’t run off again? Well, you won’t know that till you go over where she is.

Jarred walks over, and Daisy gets out of the car to talk to him. While the rest of us walk away so they can talk.

After a little while, we see Jarred walking with Daisy holding hands.

I guess welcome to the family, says Thomas.

Thank you, Alpha, Thomas. Well, now that you’re family, I think just Alpha will do, or Sir.

We all start laughing. While Jarred turns a deep red, kid, I’m just joking; just call me Thomas.

But just to be clear, no more pictures. Yes, Sir, I already learned my lesson. Good. Now treat my baby like the princess she is. Yes, Sir, I intend to.

The rest of the evening was great; we swam, hung out by the fire, and we all chatted and joked.

Even our parents joined us. I still am not ready to talk to mine just yet. But this is a start, I guess. This was one of the best barbecues I have ever been to.

I couldn’t believe how well-behaved Jarred was, maybe I talked too soon as he pulled the chair out from under Taylor as he went to sit down.

JARRED YOUR DEAD..

I never saw Jarred run so fast. The only bad thing was the domino effect that happened.

Of course, Jarred ran into Liam. He grabbed Alicia, and she grabbed Abby, who then grabbed onto my uncle Thomas, who happened to catch Taylor as he was running by.

Splash was all you heard as all of them ended up in the pool.

I thought for sure my uncle was going to kill Jarred.

He just looked at Taylor, and they both started laughing.

Before you knew it, everyone was laughing.

Jarred stood there stunned.

Daisy walks over and kisses Jarred on the cheek.

“

Dad, are you okay?” Thomas chuckles. “ Now you think of me!”

Daisy shrugged her shoulders. “ Dad, I had to make sure my mate was okay first,” she grins at him.

Thomas shakes his head; they are perfect for each other.

Taylor pats Thomas on the back. “Welcome back, welcome to the family.”

Thomas laughs. “ Yeah, this should be interesting.”

Jarred, “If I were you, I would sleep with one eye open,” replies Abby.

Devin walks over behind Jarred and shoves him in the pool. Abby yells, “ Attack!”

I never laughed so hard in my life. Even Alicia joined in. My uncle was the first one to leave the pool.

Daisy walks up to help him out. The next thing you know, she’s in the pool too.

My uncle grins. “ I thought you needed to check on Jarred. Dad!!”

I can’t believe this is my family, and to be honest, I wouldn’t change a thing about them.

Everyone eventually got out of the pool and took showers. Then came back for dinner.

It was lively to say the least.

I wouldn’t trade this for anything. If it weren’t for my brothers,

I would never have gotten the chance to experience any of this.

Taylor sits down next to me and pulls me into his embrace.

Love, this was how it was always meant to be.”

Sighing, as I look at my brothers who are all bashing Jarred right now about his pictures.

If it weren’t for their love, I would have never had a chance for a life like this.

I know love. I owe them everything,” replies Taylor.

They brought you to me. I will forever be grateful, as he gives me a kiss on the cheek.
