The Alpha's Runaway Mate

Chapter forty Eight

Taylor’s POV

The party went great; everyone had a great time. Izzy and I went to bed around ten, while everyone was still enjoying themselves.

I was happy for Jarred; he had finally met his mate. She was sweet and made Jarred’s face light up. I couldn’t ask for anything better.

Now maybe my beta will get his act together. Well, maybe not after what happened at the pool.

I lay here next to my mate, and I wonder how I could have gotten so lucky. She is everything I ever dreamed of.

I thank the moon goddess every day for what she has given me.

I woke up at four a.m. and got ready while my beautiful mate slept peacefully.

I hated to leave her here, but anything could go wrong, and I didn’t want to take that chance.

I gave her a kiss on the cheek and slipped out of our room, heading down to the cars.

Everyone was already waiting for me when I got there.

When we arrived at the airport, we boarded fairly quickly. It was quiet; no one was really talking.

I told Tony and his family to take the bedroom for the children. He was grateful for that.

The rest of us split up in areas.

Leaving Izzy back at the pack, I knew she wasn’t happy about it.

I left her to work with Dr. Welch.

I told Izzy when we get back, I would train her so next time she could be by my side.

I didn’t want her getting hurt if things went wrong.

I know she was really upset, but after she felt what I was feeling, she gave in.

We fell asleep wrapped in each other’s arms.

I know she will be upset that I didn’t wake her, but she looked so peaceful, and I didn’t have the heart to wake her.

Honestly, I can’t wait for this all to be over; I just want to be back in my mate’s arms.

We didn’t bring a whole lot of people with us because we didn’t want anyone getting suspicious.

Abby stayed back at the pack house with Devin to make sure nothing went wrong there.

Liam, Zack, Thomas, Matt, Steve, Dale, James,Richard, Sally, Noah, Jarred, and five warriors came with us.

There will be three groups, four to each group that are going in. The rest will stand watch at the entrance to the main tunnel. So technically, there are four groups.

Tony, Mason, and his family will be at their pack house having a party. So whoever is watching them doesn’t realize we are here.

Cassandra made sure everything would be ready to surprise their Alpha. I’m just hoping Tony can pull this off.

It was a quiet flight to the Red Moon pack.

I figured they would be watching the airport for the Alpha and his family. Which I was right about. When we landed, only Tony and his family got off with Steve.

From a distance, they would think it’s Mason, which seemed to work because I heard the men reporting to Cassius that Tony and his family were back.

He asked if anyone came with them. They said no. Only the Alpha and his family got off.

After the crew got off and closed the plane, they left to go eat. While they filled the fuel.

“

Fine, follow the Alpha and his family. Do not let them out of your sight.”

We waited on the plane for an hour.

Ry and I checked to make sure they weren’t watching the plane anymore.

I mind-linked the crew to come back and open the door for us. Michael had left two vans for us.

Since he knew they were watching the airport, he got ones that looked like the airport vans.

We loaded up and drove to Tony’s family’s house. Which was about fifteen minutes away.

Tony was right. Unless you knew where the entrance was, you would miss it.

Once we got to the house, Sally made a portal to Tony’s office for her and Mason. About ten minutes later, Sally came back with Steve. They brought lunch that the Luna had sent from the party.

The rest of the day was quiet. Everyone seemed nervous for tonight. After we all ate, most slept while they could.

Are you worried?” asks Sally. “ No, actually, I’m not. Something tells me everything will be just fine.”

So far, we have anticipated everything that Malcolm was planning.

It doesn’t seem that he’s changed his routine in any way. He seems to still be secretly searching for them. Which makes this much easier.

Do we know who is going with who once we get there?” asks Thomas.

I will run one group, Thomas; you have the second group, and Jarred takes the third.

It doesn’t matter who goes with who as long as there are four members to each group.

We all know how to use the dart guns, so I don’t see any problems there.

Why don’t we portal back to your pack instead of the plane?” says Sally.

We are not that big of a group, so I can portal everyone at the same time,

alls everyone has to do is be touching each other when the portal opens.

Let’s run it by everyone and see what they think.

The rescue

LI just talked to Tony, and everything is going as planned.

We talked about what would be the safest way to go back to the pack.

Everyone agreed that we should just portal back.

We decided that we would have the plane leave before we go in.

That way, if he sent anyone back to keep an eye on the plane, they would only see the crew leave.

Which I’m glad we did since he sent someone back to watch the plane.

The captain mind-linked me to tell me they were watching them again.

We got ready and loaded into the vans.

We decided to have two of our warriors take the vans back to the airport and catch a flight home,

they dropped us outside the tunnel and took the vans back to the airport.

Once we got to the tunnels, we decided who would go with who.

While the rest waited outside the tunnel. To make sure we didn’t get ambushed. It took us about ten minutes to make our way through the tunnels.

We split up so each group could go to the room they were assigned.

Once we were outside of their rooms, we had Sally check to make sure they were the only people in the rooms.

Also, to make sure it was the right rooms.

So far, everything was going well. Just as we were about to go in, there was a knock at the girls’ room.

One of the girls opens the door. “Yes, sir, how can I help you?” Master wants one of you in his chambers in one hour.
