Chapter forty six

1243 Words
Izzy’s POV Izzy looks at Taylor, having a private conversation. Are you sure you want to do this, Taylor? He’s your best friend. Yes, I’m certain he was always meant to protect you. Besides, there’s no one I trust more for the job. Izzy looks between us both. Okay, I accept. Abby, that would bump you up to my beta if you want the job. Are you serious? Yes, so what do you say? Yes, I say yes!! Okay, now let’s talk about gammas and deltas since things sort of changed really fast. To be honest, I would like Sally as my gamma; I trust her. I understand Izzy, but they belong to the Red Moon pack. I know, but it doesn’t look like they are wanting to go back. I know, they have to ask their Alpha to be released from their pack. I would like Dale as a delta; he has mad skills when it comes to training, says Jarred. I agree, says Abby. Okay, let’s hold off till we get Pete’s family and then announce the positions and who would like to be considered for the positions and let’s see if they sign up or ask about the positions. We all agree and sit down to eat lunch. Pack members come in, and you can hear the laughter about the pictures of their beta. Most of the comments were comical, but some were that he deserved this punishment. Even though it was a harsh thing to do, I did agree with them. But none were stupid enough to approach Jarred. They at least had enough respect for him not to do that. But it didn’t stop our table from giving him s**t about the pictures. I thought Alpha Thomas was going to fall off his chair since he was laughing so hard. Alpha Tony just asked how I came up with the ideal. Actually, it was Ry who came up with the ideal. Jarred shakes his head; I should have known it was that bucket of fur. If it weren’t for Ry laughing so hard, he would have put Jarred in his place. The rest of the day went by without issues. Jarred and I finished all the paperwork and everything else that needed to be done. I asked Sally if she could cast a spell around the perimeter so everyone could enjoy the party. The last time this pack was attacked was over ten years ago. But I still wanted it to be safe for everyone. Jarred hired men for the front gate for the party using Devin’s company, which I and Izzy checked them all out before agreeing. Izzy wasn’t that worried about it since she knew most of them already. They were all fine; they all just wanted to make some extra money. There were six of them, and if they did a good job, they would get a good bonus. They would report to Devin at eleven a.m. and get off at midnight. Devin would be responsible for them. Whereas our warriors would take back over at midnight. Izzy’s POV Taylor went all out for this party; the swimming pools were cleaned , more chairs were set around them. Tables were brought in and set up all around. Lights were hung up. Both fire pits were set up with benches all around them. Play areas were set up for the kids. We decided to do the food in the dining room because it opened up into the party itself, which made it easier for the kitchen staff. They also had four big barbecues going. Taylor was at least nice enough to have the pictures of Jarred covered for the party, saying that it was meant just for our pack. I was hoping he would take them down, but he said no; Jarred needed to learn his lesson. Which I understood, but still, it’s Jarred. We compromised; we had them moved to his personal office. We just didn’t tell Jarred. I was exhausted when we went to bed that night after our shower and went a round or two with Taylor. I fell straight to sleep cuddled in Taylor’s arm and excited for tomorrow. The Party I woke up early and took my shower since the boys had all gone down for training at five. I mind-linked Taylor telling him I was heading down for breakfast. Everyone was told breakfast would end by nine, so if they wanted to eat early, the dining room would open by six instead of seven. About fifteen minutes later, all the men entered the room. I suppose they had all gone to the rooms to take showers. Right after, the rest of the women had followed them in. My grandma and grandpa came to join us with my mother and father. I was happy that they were feeling more at home here. We all enjoyed breakfast, laughing and joking. The main topic was still Jarred and his pictures. Thomas asked where they were, and Taylor said he had put them somewhere special for the party. After he would have them back out here in the dining room. Thomas chuckled. You have given me great ideas, Taylor. I feel sorry for whoever pissed you off, Alpha Thomas, and they both laughed. I am glad to see you taking this well, Jarred, says Thomas. Well, I did deserve it actually. My Alpha did have some very good points. And it was my own fault, so yeah, I understand why he did it. I just won’t be doing it again. Well, I’m glad to hear that. Seems like you have a great Alpha. Yes, that I do. Taylor just keeps talking to Izzy, and her brother’s acting like he wasn’t listening to our conversation, but I know he was. He got a small smile on his lips for a few seconds. After breakfast, everyone went their separate ways to get ready for the party. The girls put bathing suits on under their sun dresses. The men threw on bathing suit shorts and T-shirts with flip-flops. It was casual. Nothing fancy. In the evening, everyone would go change into warmer clothes, but it wasn’t really needed since we were all wolves anyway. Izzy went to the hospital to check on Pete. He seemed to be doing much better, and his wolf was responding to the medication he was being given. The doctor prescribed the same medication for Janie’s wolf, and so far, it had been working. As the party gets underway, pack members of the silver Moon start showing up. My uncle, Thomas, and Taylor were there to greet everyone. It was nice to watch Taylor and my uncle joking around, even if it was at Jarred’s expense. But I do have to admit it’s funny. The party was great, and even Jarred was behaving himself. Everyone was having a great time. I was waiting for Daisy to show up, Uncle. Yes, precious? Do you know if Daisy is coming? Yes, she should be here soon. She texted me about thirty minutes ago. Okay, I guess I will go wait for her. Okay, precious, just be careful. I have to laugh at my nickname my uncle gave me, but oh well. I see Daisy drive up and I run to the car to meet her. About time you got here, you’re missing all the fun. Giggling, I’m here now, so let’s get that party started.
