Chapter seventy one

1025 Words
Cassius’s POV We have been looking for Tony and his pack for 8 months. We still are no closer to finding them. They disappeared after I had his pack burnt down. I thought it would be so easy: burn down his pack, then follow them to wherever they were going. My whole plan backfired. They disappeared into thin air. And we still have no clue where to even look. Where are they, Martin? They couldn’t have all disappeared. But they did, Sir. We have searched everywhere for them. We burnt everything down just like you told us to. We followed them into the woods. We weren’t that far behind them. The next thing you know, they’re gone. No scent, no noise. Just complete silence. We searched that area, over and over. There were no caves, tunnels; it was just forest. Did you check the airport? Yes, none of them ever showed up there. We have not seen one pack member since we last saw Alpha Tony and the warriors leave through the forest. They never returned to the pack once they left. All their cars and personal belongings are still here. Even though it’s not much. Check surrounding packs. See if any of them helped them. We have, Sir, all the surrounding packs. Their Alphas said that he and his whole pack just disappeared. They have not heard from any of them. Keep looking; someone somewhere knows something. Yes, Sir. Tony’s POV I can’t believe they actually did this for us, Cassandra! They thought of everything. They didn’t miss a thing. Holding my mate in my arms. Neither can I, Tony. How long till everything is done? A month, if that. It all depends on how fast we can get the work completed. Izzy said she will send over a bunch of people to help with the furniture that will be delivered here tomorrow. We also ordered the furniture for the cabins and the houses. Izzy said they can bring anything that they want from the homes they live in now. They would redo them once everyone was settled. We ordered sheets, towels, and everything else we would need for the pack house. Brittany made a list of everything we would need for the kitchen. She also made a list for what the omegas would need. For the families, Izzy said it might be easier to give each family five thousand dollars and let them go get their own things for their homes. Taylor’s mom and Izzy’s grandma will be going with them in case they don’t have enough money to cover what they need. I got a bunch of extra things just in case. So basically, we can move in once the furniture is delivered, tomorrow to be honest, said Tony. I’m sure the families can handle setting up their own furniture. For those who can’t, we can send people to help them. Only the ranked members would be staying at the pack house for now. The warriors can set up their own housing with the help of Michael. Michael is so excited about it all. So this should be a lot of fun for him. I had to laugh at him when he told me what he needed and was afraid it was too much. When I told him to order it, he looked at me like I had lost my mind. Then I repeated Taylor’s words to him, and he was like, “Oh, yeah, I’ll go order it now!” They both laughed. What do you think? How about we bring the pack over tomorrow and let them decide? Do we move in now or wait for them to bring the rest of the furniture? Izzy said they left the money for each family inside their home. Plus, they have their own money too. Cassie laughed. Ava and Lily will be going with them. They won’t need money. Tony laughed. Those two did not forget anything. I think they have already done enough. I agree, but you heard Taylor himself. If we don’t order it, he will, and we both know how stubborn he is. Yes, that’s true. I can’t argue with that. He keeps asking me how it’s going. It’s not like I can hide anything. He gets the bills. I told him I bought some things for the pack house, he had Jarred actually go to the bank and get me a cashier check to cover what it cost. Trying to turn him down is like talking to a brick wall! Cassie laughed. I had the same issue with Izzy! we were talking about something special I wanted to buy for your office, I was like, I’m was going to order this for you. She told me no, they would pay for what ever was needed. She didn’t care what it was. They both started laughing. I am going to miss the morning having breakfast with them, Izzy is such a wonderful cook, they are family. Just because we live here doesn’t mean we still can’t do things like that with them. The kids still have school in their pack. He also mentioned to me about the gate, if wanted to leave it open or closed. It was our choice. What do you think we should do? After everything we have all been through together, I think it should stay open. Other pack Alphas have never been allowed to come this far back on their pack lands. Izzy said Taylor has never liked other Alphas on his land. He said he would not make it easy for other packs to attack his. He’s got a good point says Tony, but that doesn’t explain why he let us. Tony, from the moment he met you, till the day our pack was burnt down. You have always protected his family, so to him your family. You’re like a brother to him. Do you think he would do this just for anyone? You have a valid point Cassie. I sometimes think this is way too much. I don’t disagree, we both know we are not going to change either of their minds.
