Chapter seventy eight

The Meeting

Taylor and Izzy’s POV

The first meeting consists of the Alphas and betas. The second will be everyone. It was time to set a plan to figure out who was helping Cassius.

I went through my plan with them. As I was going over it, they started asking questions, questions I didn’t have full answers to.

Everyone had great ideals on how to make it even better. I was surprised that even Jarred contributed too.

He likes to act stupid but in reality he’s actually really smart. I just wished he would use his brains more.

Our Lunas’s life depends on

this plan. If we fail, it could mean Cassius’s victory.

It has to be airtight, we cannot take a chance of Cassius getting his hands on our Luna. I will not let anything happen to my mate.

We finally agreed upon something, smirks Ry. I’m not even going to answer to that stupid statement, blocking Ry out, you can still hear him laughing.

We all agreed that only Tony, Thomas, and I would know the full plan. Our betas would have the second part of the plans.

While the others would only know what they were tasked to do. We already knew a few that were going to betray us.

We need the rest. We need the pack Alphas.

Sally reassured us that everything would be fine, Izzy agreed, and to me to stop worrying so much.

Whatever was meant to happen was going to happen whether we liked it or not.

I would have to agree with her, but I’m not going to make it easy on him either.

That’s why we changed certain things at the last minute.

I was starting to agree with the fewer people who knew the whole plan, was better, because we would have a better chance of things not going sideways.

if Cassius catches one of our members, we expect him to, they would only know what pertains to them. Which is absolutely nothing in their case.

Only the Alpha would know the full plan. While the betas had their own plans.

Everyone agreed that it was best to consider Cassius’s behavior. We knew he was going to go straight for Taylor.

He wants to meet my mate. He wants to find out if she’s who he’s been looking for.

Therefore, we excused everyone, while we went through everything piece by piece.

Then, we sat down and made a plan for the holiday party we were organizing.

Jarred and Abby, with the assistance of Tony and Uncle Thomas’s beta, took care of their respective parts of the plan.

I was actually surprised by what they had accomplished, after putting their plan into action.

We also had Sally put a protective spell on the room so no one knew the plan except who was actually in the room.

Izzy was not as worried as everyone else; only Taylor and Sally knew what she and Taylor were capable of. We had the opportunity to meet the man that was hunting her down.

You would have thought she would have been scared. She was actually relaxed, not bothered in the slightest. She said Shay told her everything would be fine.

So she was not worried at all. She trusted Shay.

Shay did tell her to be very careful around the ones who would eventually betray her.

Taylor could sense if someone had bad intentions, so why he was so stressed out surprised me.

It was great when he met with other people. We both agreed reading minds was not an option. People are crazy in some of the things they think. Perverted too, so yeah reading minds not an option.

No one could read our minds not even Sally was able to read our minds. She tried a couple of times and each time she came up with nothing.

The moon goddess had prepared the both of us for everything. I was happy for that.

Neither of us could be Alpha commanded either, that was a plus when we thought how Cassius worked.

We had Sally and Izzy set up a portal between packs it was really quite ingenious of her and Izzy, pack members could come and go as they pleased.

Sally always seems to surprise me, all the time with the things she is capable of doing. There should be a manual on her, I laughed.

The good was, the only way you can use the portal is if you belong to one of the packs. A very clever design by Sally.

Otherwise, it will send you to the middle of nowhere, or the territory of the rogues depending on what their intentions are.

At least it will give them a nice surprise.

Otherwise, it teleports you to our banquet hall in a special room we created for it. Each pack has a room on their pack lands.

The portals were only set up for tonight. At two am they would disappear. Sally wanted to be safe, considering everything she set up, one more surprise.

If you were a witch or a wizard and you did not belong to our pack, they would not be able to see the portals at all.

Sally did not want to take a chance that they would be able to tamper with them.

Sally even tried to get Jarred to try it. He refused, saying he had no idea where Sally would send him. Which everyone started laughing.

She told me later that if Jarred uses the portals, it would take him to his office. I chuckled, because I could hear Jarred now.

Let me out! How could you do this to me again? I didn’t even do anything this time.

One day, I am going to have to thank Jarred. For always making life a little more fun. But it won’t be anytime soon.

We have come a long way. I’m so happy how things are turning out.

I know we still have to deal with Cassius, to make sure our Luna and the rest of the people and families he has hurt finally find peace.
