Chapter four

Izzy’s POV

I went to go get ready for the party we were having for Liam and my birthday, but as I was getting ready, the hospital called saying they needed me to come in right away for work.

I changed into my scrubs and put my hair up, then went outside to find my brothers. This should be good humors, Shay. Shut it!! Blocking Shay out.

Devin, Liam, Zack— they all turn around giving me this puzzled look on their face as to why I was in scrubs instead of a dress for the party.

Why are you in scrubs, asked Liam? Well, you see, I have to go to work for a few hours. The hospital called saying they need me to come in.

Why did you agree, asks Zack? Well, because I haven’t picked where to do my residency at, so why rock the boat? It’s only for a couple of hours. And it’s on the children’s side, you know that’s what I want to specialize in. I will be back before you know it.

That’s fine, Izzy, please just make sure you come back early enough to enjoy some of the party.

Taylor’s POV

Jarred, have you heard from Alpha Tony? No, but I did hear from beta Mason saying that they are having minor issues with rouges lately. Which he said was unusual because rouges haven’t attacked them in some time.

I will give him a call and check in on them and see if they have learned anything new.

picking up the phone and calling Alpha Tony. It starts ringing, and after the second ring, he picks up.

Hello, Alpha Taylor, how are you? I’m good. Jarred told me you’re having some rouge issues. Is everything okay?

Yes, everything is fine. They are really minor attacks. I doubled security to make sure the pack is safe, and if anything should change, I will let you know.

I appreciate that. We are here if you need us. Well, the reason I was calling was to check in and see how things are going with Izzy’s parents? Have they told you anything?

No, it’s still the same. All Janie does is cry, and Pete, it’s like he’s gone mad.

Did they find anything out, Taylor? No, nothing. I don’t think they will either. They are too close for Pete to be scared of them.

I did offer for him to send Pete and Janie to us, so we will see what he does. That might be a good thing, Taylor. That’s what I was thinking, but we will see.

Third person’s POV

S..Sir,

What?? Ummm, What??? Warren spit it out!!

Well, ummm, Pete and his wife were arrested. WHAT!!!

Where are the children? That’s why they were arrested, sir. What do you mean? Well, the children ran off.

Why would the children run off? Well, I found out that they were abusing the girl.

I told Pete that he better be taking good care of her because we were going to need her and her twin when she becomes of age and gets her wolf.

I am not sure if we will need the brother, but we can use him to control his sister to do what we want.

Well, sir, we can’t find any of them. They all just disappeared.

We have been searching for them. And it’s like they just vanished.

Warren, find them. I don’t care what you do, but find them.

As for Pete and his wife, kill them. I can’t afford for them to talk.

Well S..Sir that might be a little hard. They are in the pack dungeon, and we have no clue where that is.

Then bribe one of the guards in the pack. Or force one. I don’t care, but get it done.

Yes, sir. I will take care of it. When did they get arrested?

Ummmm, three years ago, sir. Well, now this does cause a problem since the brother and sister both turn twenty-one in a few days. Keep searching. And why wasn’t I notified earlier that the kids went missing? Because we didn’t know; everything looked the same. We just thought that Pete was keeping a low profile so he wasn’t caught. And Janie, she’s useless since you did what you did.

Well, this does cause a bit of a problem, Warren. When the girl gets her wolf, she will know she’s different. I don’t care what you have to do, figure out where these kids ran off to, even if it means going to war with the Red Moon Pack to accomplish that.

Tony’s POV

We continue to question Pete and Janie non-stop, and we still are not getting any answers. Janie keeps crying, saying she’s sorry, and Pete, well, he is not the man I have known all these years. He’s vile. I’m not sure what happened to him.

We are not getting anywhere with these two. No matter what we do. It’s just not working.

Mason, get a hold of the Silver Moon Pack and see if Richard or Lily have heard from any of them. It’s been almost three years. Maybe they have heard something by now. And I think it’s time to send these two to Alpha Taylor. He’s right; they hurt his mate, and he should have the right to them. And since we are getting nowhere, it’s time. And with the rogue attacks, it might be the best decision. I think something is going to happen, and it will be soon.

So what’s the plan, Tony? Bring gamma Michael, Noah, Sally, Steve, and Dale here. And let’s make a plan.

I will text them now, Alpha.

Gamma Michael, Noah, Steve, and Dale, you are needed in the Alpha’s office right away. Noah, please bring Sally with you.

Their was a knock on my door. “ Enter, I reply.” In walks Noah and Sally, and a few minutes later, the rest all arrive.

I sit there for a few minutes debating what I want to say. “ Just spit out chuckles, Charlie,” I know Charlie, just not sure what I want to say.

Dale and Steve, I want you to get Pete and Janie ready; we are going to move them. This conversation stays between only us. With the recent activity with the rouges and the fact that we have gotten nothing from Janie and Pete, it’s time to let Alpha Taylor take over. So we are going to transport them to his pack. It’s an eighteen to a twenty-hour drive, so make sure you have everything you need because there will be no stopping. Yes, Alpha, when do we leave ? In the next hour. Sally, I want you to go so you can keep a protection spell on the vehicle and the group. Alpha? Yes, Sally ? Would you mind if we all just stayed at Alpha Taylor’s pack for a while? No, not at all. I was going to ask if you all were willing to stay there and help protect Pete and Janie.

Beta Mason will return the next day after you get there. You guys will keep the vehicle and drop Beta Mason at the airport. So when you guys are ready to come back, you have the vehicle. Any questions? No, Alpha… okay, you all dismissed to go get your things. Meet in one hour at the dungeon. Dale, Steve, you have thirty minutes so you can get Pete and Janie ready. Yes, Alpha, they both reply. Gamma Michael, you are going to cover for Beta Mason while he’s gone. Yes, Alpha.

Picking up the phone and calling Alpha Taylor, it starts to ring.

Alpha Tony, is everything okay? Yes, I just wanted you to know that I will be sending Pete and Janie to you; they should be there in about seventeen hours to nineteen hours.

I’m sending three warriors, Sally and my Beta, and if you’re okay with it, my three warriors and Sally will be staying to help.

That’s fine, Tony. I will get rooms ready for them.

The rogue attacks are getting worse, and I would prefer not to have them here. If you need help, please let me know. Replies, Alpha Taylor.

Back in the dungeon, Dale and Steve are getting Pete and Janie ready to move.

What are you doing? Where are we going, shouts Pete. It doesn’t matter, just put it on, says Dale. No, I’M NOT GOING ANYWHERE!! Sneers Pete. Phil, yes, Alpha? Phil links back…Phil, can you make up some shots to put Pete to sleep for the next twenty hours? Yes, Alpha, I can. I need it in the next five minutes in the dungeon. Yes, Alpha, be right there.

A few minutes later, Phil enters the dungeon.

Put that i***t to sleep, Phil. Hold him. Dale and Steve each grab an arm and hold him in place while Phil gives Pete a shot. That’s much better, thank you, Phil. Grab him and let’s go. Here, beta Mason, you’re gonna need this when that one wears off. Thanks, Phil. Go out the back, Mason, the car is already waiting for you there.

Shut all your phones off till you get to Alpha Taylor’s pack unless something should happen. I don’t want anyone to be able to trace you.

Tony’s POV

It’s been a few days since we heard from Tony, and I was starting to worry when I got a mind link from the front gate guards that beta Mason was there with a few others . Let them in and show them to the dungeons, and I will be right there.

Yes, Alpha.

A few minutes later, I see Beta Mason, Sally, and a few warriors standing on the outside of the dungeons with Izzy’s parents. I had to chuckle at the sight of Pete; he was sound asleep and had no clue as to what was about to happen. I see Janie, but something is just really off about her. I’m not sure what yet, but I will figure it out. It’s like she wanted to say something but couldn’t. The look in her eyes. Never mind; I will figure this out later.

I extend my hand to Beta Mason. “Good to see you again. Shaking his hand. “ You too, Alpha Taylor.”

Well, let’s get them comfortable.

Mason’s POV

We walk down some steps and enter a door that goes into a corridor with, like, eight rooms—I mean, actual rooms, no bars, just rooms. This was different; it was clean and well-kept. He opened the first room door for Pete; it has just a mattress, blanket, and its own toilet.

Dale walks in and drops him on the mattress and walks out. I had to chuckle because it looked like he dropped a sack of potatoes that annoyed him.

We walk all the way to the end of the corridor, and he opens the door. This room has an actual steel bed with a mattress, sheet, and blanket, even a pillow. It’s own small shower, toilet, and even some extra clothes.

Well, this is different. I can see Sally looking at Taylor with a curious look on her face. Like she knew something we all didn’t. Ry, remind me to talk to Sally later. What do I look like, your answering service replies Ry. You know what? Never mind blocking him out.

Thanks for bringing them now. If you go back to the pack house, my omegas are there waiting for you to show you to your rooms.

And we can catch up tomorrow when you all are well rested. My omegas will bring dinner to your rooms. Says Alpha Taylor.

We all bow our heads to him, thanking him for the rooms and food.

I watch Alpha Taylor walk deeper into the dungeon, disappearing behind another door.

I make my way out of the dungeon, standing there looking up at the moon. I pull out my phone, calling Alpha Tony. It rings a couple of times before he answers. Mason? Yeah, Tony, it’s me. We’re here.

Great, get some rest, and you can update me in the morning.

Tony’s POV

I just hung up with Mason when the alarm sounded, and everyone was running either for the borders or the shelters .

Michael, where are they? They’re on our eastern border. They haven’t made it through yet.

Time to go to work, Charlie. About time !! Running towards the eastern border, midway turning into a big black wolf. By the time I got there, the fight was already over.

It almost seemed like a diversion.

I turn around and run to the dungeons, finding it wide open and both my guards dead. I walk into the cells, and there stands a man mumbling to himself, not realizing I’m standing there. Do we need to call a doctor? Laughs, Charlie. Charlie sits down, watching the man. It took the man about ten minutes before he realized we are sitting there watching him.

He walks into the empty cell and closes the door behind him. Charlie just c***s his head like, “What the f*** just happened?”

I turn back and grab the shorts my gamma is handing me.

Is everyone okay, Michael? Yes, they never made it through.

Well, one did, looking at the man in my cell.

Care to tell me why you are here? And who are you? He just starts to mumble and nothing else. The only thing I got from his mumbling was James.

I look at him with curiosity he’s doing the same thing as Janie. Is Something wrong with him? says Michael. I don’t think so says Charlie I can’t even feel his wolf. I can’t ask Sally because she’s not here. But what ever they were looking for they didn’t find it. That’s because we had already moved them says Charlie. I think your right Charlie.

We need to get a hold of Taylor and let him know.

Michael get someone to move the guards that were killed so we can bury them properly, so we can a least notify the families of their loss. Have this man moved to some where safe that only you know about for the time being.

Tony what’s going on? I’m not sure yet Michael. But the sooner we get it done the better I will feel.

I grab my phone and call Taylor. He picks up right away. Hey Tony is everything okay? Actually no we had a rouge attack but it was more like a diversion to get in the dungeon. Killing two of my guards. And when we got down there their was a man there mumbling to himself just like Janie. We have him in custody. But the odd thing was he went into the cell on his own and even shut the door behind him. We only got the name James outta him.

I don’t even know what to say to that Tony.

I sent Mason back about a hour ago in my plane why don’t you send the guy to me and I will see what I can figure out. Just have him at the air field when Mason lands. Jarred is with him. You can give him to Jarred.

That sounds great Taylor we will leave now to the air field. Okay great I will let you know when I have him.

Michael, yes Alpha I need you to take that man to the air field and pick up Mason and give the guy to Alpha Taylor’s Beta Jarred he’s flying in with Mason. Go out the back way so they won’t see you leave. Yes Alpha I will let you know when I’m with Mason.

Third persons POV

Where is Warren what is taking him so long , pacing back and forth.

Sir we could not find him. He said he was going to the dungeons and to give him fifteen minutes that was all he would need.

We gave him that but he never returned.

LEAVE!!! NOW!!

bowing his head he turns and runs out the door.

So they caught him not to worry he won’t be talking I made sure of that.

Michael’s POV

I finally arrive at the airfield were Jarred and Mason are already waiting for us.

I’m just glad we got here without a problem.

Hey Mason how was your trip? I think Tony should have sent you.

Well I’m glad he didn’t, looking at your expression says it all.

Well I did get to see Jarred so it wasn’t all bad.

Jarred here’s the guy I was supposed to give to you, the only thing he’s done is mumble every time you try to talk to him.

Well I think Taylor has a plan. Not sure what it is yet but when I know I will let you know says Jarred. Sounds good.

Well we should let you get going and get back since the pack was just attacked by rouges again.

Again ? Yes that’s how we got him. It was like diversion. Because we found him in the dungeons. I am sure by now they know he’s been caught.

Well in that case let me get outta here says Jarred. Grabbing the guy and walking back to the plane. See ya Jarred have a safe trip back says Mason. Jarred just waves getting on the plane.

A few minutes later the plane was back in the air.

Alight let’s get back to the pack says Mason.

Calling Alpha Tony, it rings a few times before Tony answers. Mason is everything okay? Yes we handed the rouge over to Jarred and he’s already on his way back to Alpha Taylor.
